there are some upsides obviously like for bosses.
but you can’t do quests together, or many things together. like quests where you have to gather stuff, if your friend does that too you gonna have to wait.
is there a reason why you can’t do quests together? and some other stuff?

idk why youd be able to do quests together if most of the time you dont have the same ones unlocked, or someone finished a non-repeatable quest and the others didnt. twas a feature in world of magic and nobody liked it (in concept maybe, in execution it was bad)
i mean most of them dont justify being done together. the most obvious ones are bosses, but you can already do that in teams. anything regarding ships is better alone than with others, killing npcs is already super easy and doesnt benefit from getting help, fetch quests god no(youd just cheese by having one guy stay at the quest giver and the others fetching)
then don’t make it so that everyone gets the same quest, just that if you do have it, you can finish it together. not an impossible task.
it’s just annoying doing an npc or item get quest and doing it with a friend just sucks, like doing the story together and such is just not that possible, unless y’all doing different quests always. in which you might aswell just not play together anyway.
just, make it so both have to be at the end of the quest? but yeah, that one doesn’t make that much sense, and i don’t mean that every quest needs it, but especially quests like killing npc’s just should be able to be done together
Playing with friends isn’t bad at all, in fact you really want active friends if you’re aiming for getting bronze sea explorer since you can solve their charts for your own benefit.
Also, some of them can be just really nice and pleasant to be around

my levelling grinded to a halt when i tried doing quests on an island with a friend. because you can’t do those together. so basically i just wanna be able to do most quests together, other than that playing with a friend is good enough yeah.
There’s not much to do with friends in the game rn, unless the dark sea gets added ig?
Dark sea seems to be better with friends instead of going in it alone
I personally think that bosses are BY FAR the worst downside.
all I want to do is fight a boss legit but if you do it with other players, it’s impossible since the boss never gets their health back.

i did a duo prog challenge with my friend where we were only allowed to progress together
my friend made some magma conjurer and i made a blue crystal conjurer (yes this is a walter white conjurer)

there is stuff that you can do together, but stuff like most quests (for example killing npc’s) just isn’t really possible together afaik. you just keep kill stealing or whatever, it’s not the worst thing, but it is kinda annoying.
