I know that AO is largely populated by the super-meta users because they’re the only ones who can keep themselves entertained by PvP right now, but I haven’t caught a break recently.
Do I have a bad build? Bad Magic?
I go Plasma/Poison Mage.
I don’t feel like I suck because I’m bad, I know all the tricks, I know how to make a build (this is an all-rounder), I have the resources, and I’m using decent magic interactions.
What’s going wrong?
Other than the fact that Warrior is braindead.
I’m not an avid pvper so my advice might not hold the most weight, but it could be the build. Most pvp builds that I see spec mainly into 1 substat (around 200) and then medium amount into another substat (around 100).
For poison attack size is good and intensity is good for both poison and plasma (plasma to a lesser extent)
Also for mage I hear that agility isn’t needed too much, maybe 50 is ok if you really need it. I personally use around 80-100 tho whenever possible so it’s up to you.
Other than that, you just need practice to get better at pvp. I don’t pvp much but I’ve gotten to the point where I can at least defend myself against the average ganker.
Well it seems alright then, considering it’s an all-rounder build. Stat builds are done in a way where as long as you don’t allocate like 20% res, 20% defense, and 20% intensity or something like that, then it should be alright, besides of course the fact that power should always be maximum.
Bro when i TELL you drawback is probably the main reason you’re performing poorly, I would know from experience
I used to run 3 drawback from like October to May. At first when drawback stuff had come out and I could teleport all over the place it was nice, but eventually as stuff was nerfed I found myself almost never being able to win any fights it was a little frustrating
When I finally decided to try no drawback I performed SO much better. My survivability in 1v1s was way longer and I actually could win against players again. If I wasn’t winning, I was at least lasting for a good while.
The reason drawback is bad (even on vitality builds idk how ppl thought the imbuement wasn’t bad when it first came out) is not because it “barely damages you.” No, it’s because it essentially takes away you’re regeneration
You can say that in a fight regen doesn’t matter but trust me you heal a lot of health in a fight. With drawback you lose a lot of health you could have. You could have drawback and be at 200 health and if you didn’t have it you’d be at like maybe 500-600
How is this, yall?
I can totally make this, I’m just waiting on the next update in case it throws a wrench in this.
Besides the Atlantean Modifier though, I tend to avoid that, and I don’t really have that, it just looks better
