I don’t do pvp, i only see people randomly but i noticed that a big majority of warlords/warvants use other colossal greatswords than it?
It’s in my opinion the coolezt weapon in game.
Tho i guess i prioritize aesthetic more than functionality
rusty zwei is more popular since iirc its faster than CGS and it also applies severe bleed (while additionally being much easier to obtain)
though white eyes tooth is the best of the 4 since its the fastest by a good margin
severe bleed sucks tho, so I think it’s mostly just because it’s easy to get and looks nice
severe bleed is peak wdym
you need to do a minimum of 20% of the target’s hp to trigger a 5% hp reduction on said target
and the status effect itself is just weaker than regular bleed
the only way it’s somewhat usable is on ult art ccleave (but it’s an ult art so it’s still pretty bad)
actually you just need to apply it 4 separate times in its 10 second window (hard but not impossible), and the DoT aspect of it is better than bleed since the effect cannot be removed by anything other than through the blood burst effect (and it does 10% more than bleed)

If you are asking about why rusty zwei is used, it’s because it has really good size multiplier while being a bit faster than the actual highest size cbladed (goldreaver). Amongst the two severe bleed cbladed, zwei is just better unless you really want to play around speed.
If you are asking why rusty zwei is not used, it has lower damage output than cgs under most circumstances and the severe bleed playstyle doesn’t really work on slow cbladed weapons that do not have reliable ways to proc the severe bleed burst.

you need to deal 5% of the target’s hp to even apply the status effect with a weapon
and for the dot, you have to wait twice as long to get 50% higher damage than regular bleed
just tier 2 bleed if it took twice as long to finish its damage
the only way I can see it being good is dot stacking
which isnt that hard.. average person runs what? 3k hp at most? so you’d need to do 150 damage, which is less than the base damage you’d get with no power at all
unless, of course, you clear the bleed by flaunting with something like fire or acid
additionally, on a warlord they’re more than likely going to be running atleast 1 other normal bleed weapon so this just lets them stack 2 different DoTs at once
oh hey i just said that, but yes this is another reason why severe bleed is so popular, DoT stack plus its unable to be cleared
yeah, that’s the problem.
usually you deal like 300 ish damage per skill, which is 10% max hp
so you’re dealing 40% of a person’s max hp, only to get a 5% burst on top of that
you would only trigger the burst maybe twice in a fight, if you’re hitting consistently of course.
if you want a %hp thingy, you don’t want to have to do the majority of the damage with your normal hits
severe bleeding could’ve been so much more interesting but noo, it’s just a worse damage per tick bleed that sometimes pops up with the burst to remind you of its existence
i dont really see that as an issue, its just a gimmick of the status effect
having a 5% true unavoidable damage effect is pretty good imo, not to mention that its also a regular DoT a little bit worse than acid/magma in damage but cant be cleared
the main thing is for cbladed this is kind of a big deal, most attacks are slow to begin with and the only multitick cbladed has (ccleave) does not deal that much damage unless you heavily optimize around it (like using ileglord which is just a bad idea)
it’s even worse if you’re using something like white eyes tooth thermolord, i used that before and ccleave was genuinely just unusably bad. even dslaying ccleave on that setup deals less than 100 per tick
severe bleed is decent but you need the right setup for it, glass conj is by a country mile the best way to use it since it procs on any non-parry hit regardless of damage, allowing you to go as far as to run very gimmicky no power builds
oh yeah forgot to mention this but the best part of severe bleed is that it’s block bypassing
iirc you can’t even burst from a single skill anyway so ccleave is the worst skill to use, also severe bleed doesn’t need the burst, its fine with just its DoT
