Why is the eagle patrimony's description like this?

“Despite having lost the memory of your past, you remember this old heirloom as if it were a part of yourself.” is the description

other items/weapons’ descriptions dont mention the player, rather describing the object itself, the eagle patrimony doesnt
now, this could be different from other weapons since its a spirit weapon

but the only other times the game says this as if its speaking directly to you, is with journals, and quests, the things that have significance to the lore

hints technically also ‘talk’ to you, but its more you, the person behind the screen, than you, the player

chat am i onto something? or am i stupid?

edit: since yall dont seem to understand, my question is: why does the description have this style of writing?

Brother we have known this since midstral update

ive never seen anyone talk about it

The unique heirloom we start the game with after we lose our memory is significant?

Yes.

the old dagger is also given to us at the start of the game, same goes for the magic you choose (it also influences the color of your energy bar)
your point being?

One’s a plain old dagger, one’s a magic in a world where magic is fairly common.

yea, it’s a hint toward us being a legacy, probably one of zeus

i more want to know why the eagle patrimony has this style of writing

cause it’s important to our lore

Half a billion posts and comments the MC is a demigod/legacy related to Zeus:

They never mentioned the description I mean

Yeah they did? Practically all of them use the description as evidence to support their theory

patrimony is a fancy word for family heirloom

Other item descriptions don’t mention the player because most of them are just stuff you find, or drops originally belonging to others. The eagle patrimony is pretty much the only object with actual ties to the player character, hence why it has reason to refer to them its description.

Sorry, I meant
They never mentioned the STYLE the description was written in

What about journals? Quests?

It’s just meant to be a tiny lore drop for the player character

Something that actually has rarely been mentioned before is how the player character got its hands on it when they were a lab rat.

i don’t get the question, it’s pretty obvious what the description is telling you when you actually read it

the descriptions of other items talk about the item itself, but the description of the EP is talking about YOU

my question is: why? why is it different?
