Why savant is good and you're all using it wrong

Im sick of hearing this fucking argument.
So many people keep sleeping on savant because apparently being a jack of all trades early game is bad. The people who think like this are all nerds btw.
So im here to show you all why being a savant is actually not bad but instead good.

  1. You dont have to deposit your stats into all 4 stats to be a savant. You can just go strength, magic, and weapons and use high defense sets.
  2. With this you can use the 60% in one stat and 40% in two stat limits to to find out what build suits you the best.
  3. It. Still. Does. A shit ton of damage. Seriously savants do 200 damage in every attack they use. Which doesn’t sound like much at first until you realise they can have either 2 fighting styles or 2 magics, along with either 1 magic or 1 fighting style, and can use 3 old weapons, all of which dealing 200 damage with each attack.
  4. It’s extremely fast. Since you have such a large arsenal of skills, you can easily move around during fights and basically run circles around your opponent. “B-b-but what about puls-” the dash button in question:
  5. If done correctly, is absolutely deadly. Wood and Fire savant with thermo fist and 3 old weapons. It’s a terrifying combo

Most people try and say savant is bad because of these 2 reasons

They’ll either say “It’s not the best in anything so therefore it fucking sucks :rage:”
It’s not the best in anything but the little of everything it has is enough for them to be powerful. A savant can use old weapons which provide enough of an advantage for them to get around since some old weapons are still very powerful (Ex. Old Dual Swords, Old Katana, Rusty Claws)

Or they’ll say “Savant will always have the least of everything, hybrid builds and full builds will always have more.”
The people who say this dont understand these hybrid builds and full builds will still have 1 or 2 stats they have absolutely jackshit in. Savants will have all 3. And will therefore have their advantages and counters. Just because they have the least of everything doesn’t mean the “least” is small.
Tl;dr
Savant is not mid. It’s Decent and you just suck at using it.

As a savant user i can say that the only bad thing it has compared to other builds is how much it struggles in the early game
It’s a good and very versatile build that can adapt to a lot of situations and I feel like once it gets it’s 2nd awakening it’ll also be one of the best builds in the game

I didn’t struggle too much. I focused most of my stats into weapon and magic at first. And slowly kept strength with me as well.

I mean, I say savant is bad because 90% of the playerbase can’t fucking use more than 5 things at once, since yknow most of them are either kids, deepwoken players or both.

but like if you see the rare prodigy that uses ALL of their available moveset, that shits when people die

I am yet to see one tho

Also you could probably think of some crazy combos to be able to pull off in the late game with all of the options you have

sailor fist into snow into charged shining cycle into crash into snare

Which is why the title of the post is “Why savant is good and you’re all using it wrong”
Most people here have trouble pressing numbers and letters at the same time on a keyboard when playing the game.

It’s depressing really but it’s just free kills to me.

I’ve always thought savants were pretty scary of a class due to their sheer unpredictability

I mean I must admit sometimes not all of your moveset is actually good (I literally never use anything but my second magic’s placed explosions because the rest is level 1 sized + weak as fuck)

I mean c’mon now if Blox Fruits can have combos then so can we

Yeah. Just imagine what happens when second awakening comes out.

They’ll have the first awakening of both a conjurer and a warlock. It’ll be crazy.

god, can’t wait for crystalizing + iron legging sword draw attacks hitting the hell out of people

I’m wondering if I should make a weapons/FS/magic savant that leans a little towards weapons since those are one of the most versatile skills other than magic

but magic is also incredibly versatile so idk what to lean on more towards

weapons is probably the best long term since the dual imbuement is onto weapons

oh my fucking god that sounds terrifying

we already have crystalized iron leg getting a permanent 30% bonus damage

wait til we have that + some exalted weapon that’s like light magic or something

man now I kinda wanna delete my warrior file and make a savant one

I’ll have to trade off all the valuable stuff to a friend first so I can recover it when I make it obviously
