Why there are only civilian castaways

bothering me for a while, why are there literally only civilian castaways with almost the same outfit, the same manner of speaking, and the same annoying manner of “can we get a little bit closer to the land?” (meanwhile we are literally hugging the island’s terrain)

why aren’t there other castaways like pirates? Pirates who got their ship sunk but they still are alive? Should i make a suggestion about different types of castaways perhaps?..

Pirate castaways would bring some interesting possibilities

Take them to a grand navy base and maybe have a different reward? (drachma instead of fish?)

Hell why stop at pirates, get castaways from every seafaring faction, we got grand navy, ravenna, sameria and keraxe so far

nah i will take them to my clan base and make them my buddies fr

First, thats a really good idea. Different castaway types may give different rewards and even ask you to bring them to different islands. With criminals or AS, you could even refuse to listen to them and turn them in to gravy for renown with a drawback of, for example, getting a pirate/AS ketch sent your way after a while to beat yo traitorous ahh (they sure hope so)

And, if you bring them to your claimed island, they may even give small buffs, like +1% to siege weapons damage for each pirate castaway on the island, or +1% money yield for each civilian castaway. Also, you have to make a workaround for when a gravy-enlisted player rescues a criminal, so they could just automatically arrest them with no choice

truth nuke

Assassin castaways are the only castaway where it’s more morally acceptable to sink them (I have an unusual hatred for assassin players)

Welp thats it im gonna make a suggestion for it

Different castaways with different rewards from the usual common castaways would be nice, you should definitely suggest this not gonna lie. If possible, also add in different idle stance like some of them hanging onto a plank and so on.

The drawback for refusing is a good idea. Imagine turning an AS castaway into the navy, and then 20 minutes later you see 3 AS brigs approaching you while you’re just minding your business.

hunter castaway: some guy who was running from assasins, they rewards you with weapons or rare scrolls

dying castaway: rarely found in dark sea, they die in one single hit but if you manage to bring them to a town, they will give you a dark sea item (mostly t2 echants, maybe atlantean weapons or essence)

merchant castaway: same than normal castaway but gives you big money and renown

pirate castaway: this one instead of a town you need to bring them to their pirate ship, they will yell to their team to not attack your ship and after being in their ship, they can reward your with sealed chests to your inventory (like how fort castrum chests works)

uhh idk more maybe each type of castaway can have a dark sea counterpart too, like if you find a dying merchant castaway in the dark sea and you save them, they will give you a lot more of money and renown than a normal merchant

btw this is not a suggestion this is an idea pls mods dont kill me

Could you imagine a level 200 castaway NPC?

They’d literally just swim to shore or something like what Caria did while drinking seawater.

Imagine if you could encounter Pirate captain castaways which saw your ship as an opportunity for survival whether you accepted them or not

Like if you tried to plunder them they’d fight back in an effort to kill you and steal your ship, if you blew up their platform with a mortar they’d chase after you with a flight spell, if you accepted them some might comply while others would attempt to kill you anyway

however in exchange there’s even higher rewards for escorting them (or in the case of a ruthless one, for killing them)
