Will magic barriers/shields depend on clash rates?

It would make the most sense, but I’m curious about what you guys think?

It already kind of did in AA with interactions for fire against water and the opposite, so I don’t see why they would not be here in the sequel that introduce tons of interactions between the different magics.

I sincerely hope not because I’m a light user.

Imagine a paper shield

…And you can have 3 magic, surely one of them will have not so horrible clash rates.

Gotta feel bad for the paper users

Magics shields imo should be dependent on the magic for speed and durability. Better clash magics should have more HP and faster ones should be able to put out shields faster.

So your saying light, the fastest magic should put out shields faster, but something like gold should take forever?

That… actually makes sense.

The better clash rates makes sense, but I don’t get the faster magics should take out shields faster part

I probably should’ve explained more thoroughly that each shield has HP or rather durability and can be broken. Light should be able to be broke easily while gold should be extremely hard to break.

Doesn’t need to “take forever,” but I don’t think heavy magics should just get “haha my shield is stronger with literally no downsides.”

Ah, ok.

Wait, do you think that magic barriers/shields would work just like the shields we have now? Would their blocking power depend on clash rates? I think I was thinking like this and that’s what confused me. But really, would they block all damage or just a percentage? I think blocking 100% of the damage and having durability would work better

I think shields should work either
A: Tiny bubble around you that negates damage
B: Shield in front of you like AA

someone suggested an option for both in another thread

Would be realy cool as a Crystal user lol

gold users get trashy slow flight so i would say its a fair trade

Wait if gold users have the slowest magic speed, does that mean magic ranged weapons (mastery level) are going to have very slow projectiles?
