Will we ever be able to fight on moving ships?

i never really thought about it cuz i thought it was basically impossible or too buggy to ever put it into a roblox game. but both rell seas and holy war x are doing it (tbf they might be using the same code who knows) but seeing that it’s possible i would love having that in arcane odyssey. cause using a move on a moving ships and just flying away is just annoying.

tho we do still have to see for rell seas and holy war x if it’s actually gonna be functional.

how about we get less memory leaks and then we can hope for something like this

i mean literally every attack in the game except weapon and fighting style m1s make you freeze midair, so the only way thatd be possible is if there was a set area above a boat where you are basically anchored to its movements (which im sure would screw physics over but i aint a dev).

tbh i dont see the benefit of that (beside not falling off after any missinput) unless you are jumping on another player’s boat…which at this point weapons and fighting styles do a fine enough job. screw mages we dont count them

Would be cool if there’s like a sitting place on future ships that lets you do a Trigno, imagine a level 500 mage casting an ultimate art on a moving ship or a warrior sending a big flying slash lol, we’d feel like AA mini-bosses.

that probably how it works in rs and hwx or smth. idk you can do full on air combos and use attacks in the air and fly and you still moving with the ship. so it definetly possible

with that mind set we should just not get any updates at all, hold onto the deckhand update till we got memory leak fixes

i like the unanimous agreement that vetex will never fix memory leaks

are there even memory leaks rn tho, dont remember losing frames the longer i play

me neither, but i did upgrade to a pretty good graphics card so idk

If it’s properly implemented I don’t see why not unless the player has some attribute that would affect the physics. Also before all of this Vetex needs to add some inertia mechanic to allow us to T-Jump while on our ship and not fall off immediately. This is all easier said than done though.

Major one rn is the Warlock imbument bug which can lead to 5s+ freeze frames every m1 or imbuement

It’s defiantly something that’s possible to do, but I assume vetex considers it low priority. Not to mention both holy wars and rell seas have a decently sized dev team backing them.

the ult then proceed to hit the boat instead, doing absolutely nothing other than putting the ult in a 30s cooldown

dunno what he was saying with the boat repair, but i think saying that they added this feature right after rell seas showed it is just too crazy to be a coincidence lol
