Your attempt at equivalence is dead wrong. Installing stuff without parental permission and not confiding with parents isn’t mutually exclusive. Also in the context of elysium I assume they’re just chilling with friends in some private server. There are very little platforms that are inherently dangerous so it’s as I said before you just need to be tactful when it comes to online safety.

In regards to the topic as a whole It’s like how kids don’t swear in front of certain people in a way when it comes things like this. This isn’t really relevant to you though so just ignore it.
