Wizard's Extinction Ch. 30 "Duel of Power"

All the wizards worked in a basement on Winston’s computer.

“Y’know this PC is like 30 years old?”
Winston replied arms crossed while kneeling on a wall.

“So?”
Derrick continued using it while searching for the Tophat’s Base.

Immedietally, the PC started to smoke-up.

“Turn it off!”
Winston yelled.

But before it opened, the PC had burnt out, silence and sheer desperation flooding their faces.

“Does this house have WIFI?”
Sarah spoke.

“Yep.”
Winston quickly replied while giving the WIFI password.

After many minutes of investigation, they eventually found where the base were hiding.

“Darkencove Foundation, well that’s certainly more better hidden than the Marauder’s base.”
Charles laughed but to no one joining him.

“Guess we should go get him, after we rescue Leon?”
Steve questioned.

“I’ll escort him safety out the building, you all can go without me.”
Sarah instructed.

“Try not to cause any casualties, we want to keep our long-requested reputation with the humans.”
James replied.

-10 minutes later-

“Hey, George, have you seen that new episode of Wandering Trader?”
A Tophat Sniper named Karl spoke to his friend on watchtowers.

“Sounds retarded…”
George took a while to reply.

"Didn’t the main protagonist die in the first episode and it focused on somebody else?’
A mysterious guard walked up to them.

“You’re not permitted to be on the towers, show me your ID-”
Karl spoke only to be pushed off the building.

Geogre shot the mysterious guard 6 times in the chest.

“Urhmmm…”
The mysterious figure grunted, removed his hood, revealing himself to be Denzel.

“Gah!”
George yelled after being swiftly stabbed in the stomach, yellow bile and blood spilling out from the wound.

“Entry Granted.”
A computer spoke as Denzel smashed the passcode for the building gate.

-Meanwhile-

“This time is up…bring him to me.”
Alastair commanded of a guard.

The guard entered Sven’s room, finding him to be still retrained by glowing-blue chains.

Sven slightly opened his eyes to spy on the guard waiting for him to get closer.

“Sleep status: Negative.”
A computer spoke as the guard walked closer to incapacitate him.

“Plans have been altered, terminate him.”
Another guard entered the room.

While the other guard was distracted, Sven grabbed the guard with his legs.

“Hold still!”
The guard at the door tried aiming the gun at Sven.

Sven moved the guard into the bullets, killing him whilst taking the keycard and releasing himself, shooting the last guard with a pistol.

Sven put on his outfit as he begin walking out of his chamber.

Alastair sat down in a room, by himself as he injected himself with X-serum (A serum meant to sustain specific creatures of an uncontrolable form, much like Alastair, being a Wyvernoid)

“…What?”
Alastair noticed that his arm began mutating, red-skin began covering his arm, with large boney-white claws replacing his finger nails.

“What…i- is- happening?!”
Alastair grunted as he fell onto the floor.

Immediately, Sven emerged out of the corner with a pistol, standing infront of the Overseer.

“How?!”
Alastair grunted as his yellow eyes glowed beneath his sunglasses.

“You definitely need to give those guards an IQ test, they’re worst than the Marauders.”
Sven laughed.

“The X-serum could only contain the beast within for so long, it’s just now it breaks out.”
Alastair thought to himself.

“Raugh!”
Alastair picked Sven off the ground and threw him into a large test-tube, closing it.

“Let him go!”
Ryan entered the room along side Charles, James, Denzel, Steve and Kent.

“Is that everyone?”
Alastair smiled as he remained his back turned to them.

“We can handle you!”
Derrick yelled.

“…Should have brought more…”
Alastair removed his sunglasses, dropping them on the floor.

Alastair begun the fight by teleporting behind Charles and James, breaking both their legs.

“Aruh!”
Both of them fell to the floor.

“Crystal Blast!”
Ryan shot a shard at Alastair.

“Neugh!”
Alastair froze the shard in time and redirected to Denzel, pinning him into a wall.

“Shadow Recall!”
Denzel broke free and tried stabbing Alastair.

Alastair froze everybody in time, brought Kent into the path of Denzel’s attack, once he resumed, Denzel stabbed Kent.

“What the- NARUGH!”
Kent screamed.

“How?!”
Denzel’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Wind Blas-”
Kent tried blasting Alastair whilst injured, but would be frozen in time.

“Fire Barrage!”
Steve released multiple rounds of burning fire at Alastair.

“Ice- Blast!”
James managed to stun Alastair in place, allowing Alastair to be burnt by many rounds of fire.

“Arrrugh!”
Alastair absorbed all the fire before redirected it at Charles, James and Steve, knocking them all out.

“Water Manipulation!”
Derrick began surrounding Alastair in water, cancelling the rest of the fire attacks while slowly drowning within it.

“Merugh!”
Alastair gargled in water, thrashing around trying to escape.

“Wind Blast!”
Kent managed to break out of the frozen-time, however, the blast knocked Derrick over, breaking the water-trap.

A large beam of shadows conjured by Denzel started speeding towards Alastair.

Alastair’s leg began to mutate, in return, gaining enough strength to break the entire floor, creating a wall to block himself from these attacks.

Alastair began manipulating the debris off the floor, hurling them at all the wizards.

“Metal Barrier!”
Charles protected all of wizards with metal-spheres, except for himself.

“Metal Transformation!”
Charles turned into a large amalgamation of metal, in a samari-inspired appearance.

“Fascinating…”
Alastair smiled as he gave in to his true form.

Bones cracked and skin stretched to the point of separation, Alastair peeled off his human appearance to reveal a large, red, humanoid dragon.

“…We should have brought more.”
Charles cowered as he whispered to himself.

Alastair’s monstrous form towered over the 20-foot-tall metal-samari, his shadow blocking what little light remained his the darkly-lit room.

“We can’t stop him, the only way we can stop him is by…overdose.”
Sven figured after remembering the large storage filled with the X-serum.

-Meanwhile-

“Where is Leon?!”
Sarah yelled while pinning a Nurse down onto the floor.

“I do not know, he just vanished!”
The nurse replied.

“And that’s why you do not stay under a tree during a thunderstorm-”
Bennet spoke with Leon as they both exited the backroom door.

“What are you doing here?”
Sarah spoke to Bennet.

“Rescuing Leon?”
Bennet’s spoke in a curious tone.

“No, you and the civilians from Bell Village are meant to be at the Police Station, why are you here?”
Sarah spoke while walking towards them.

“I- Well- Let’s say i just want to be a wizard…like you?”
Bennet stuttered multiple times before coming up with his answer.

“…I’m not a wizard, i’m just Military who were kicked off for assisting Wizards back when they were illegal.”
Sarah informed the citizen.

“And where are they now?”
Leon also started questioning.

“Not now, we must exit and find the other Wizards, before they’d most likely die…”
Sarah commanded as all of them ran out the building.

“Get on the floor!”
A policemen on a microphone infront of the building yelled at the three of them.

“Oh…i cannot go back to jail.”
Bennet slowly teared up.

Just when all hope seemed lost, a van quickly covered the cops view from the wizards and once it passed, the wizards were gone.

“Huh?”
The policemen said.

-In the van-

“Who the heck are you?”
Leon shuffled backwards into the back of the van.

“Call me Alice…”
The Tophat scientist spoke.
