Alastair grabbed Charles with his claws, pulling him off the ground before slamming him into the floor after ten, ground-shaking attacks, Charles’s armored-form eventually deactivated.
“Sapphire Blast!”
Ryan tried blasting Alastair.
The blast bounced right off him, doing no damage at all.
“First your mother dies…next is your father!”
Alastair yelled at Ryan while holding his claw in the air, ready to slash at him.
Just as Ryan screamed, a large tendril grabbed Alastair’s legs, and tore them off.
“Uragh, AAAA!”
Alastair screamed.
Ryan’s eyes were yellow, having his right arm mutated into a large, grey tendril with red veins.
“You really are something special, you honestly live up to be the son of the great Charles Salore!”
Alastair laughed, regrowing his legs as he dashed towards him.
“ARUUUGH!”
Ryan screamed as eight other tendrils emerged out of his chest, piercing Alastair several times.
Alastair powered through these attacks, grabbing Ryan and stabbing him in the chest.
“Shadow Explosion!”
Denzel yelled.
The explosion blasted Alastair to the end of the room, Alastair noticed that Ryan’s attacks damaged his dragon-chest armour.
“W- What am i?”
Ryan trembled to the floor crying, looking at his father for answers.
“…”
Charles silently looked at Ryan with no answer.
“Smash!”
The heavily cracked window finally shattered as Bennet, Sarah, Leon and Alice arrived.
While these events were happening, Derrick broke Sven out of the glass-tube, both brothers hugging after many months of separation.
“How do we stop him?”
Leon looked at Derrick.
“Y’know what happens when somebody has too much medication?”
Derrick spoke.
“They overdose and die.”
Sven replied.
“He has his serums stored under his desk, if we can get a whole heap of them and perhaps spill them onto him…we can defeat him.”
Sven continued.
“Who are you?”
Leon questioned.
“I’m Sven, you rookie.”
Sven held his hand out for a handshake.
“Bam!”
Sven would be smacked backwards by Alastair.
“Shit!”
Leon leaped backwards in surprise.
“Explosiv-”
Leon tried blasting Alastair, but he too would be knocked backwards.
“Alice, my dear, why would you betray me for these low-lives?!”
Alastair’s distorted voice growled at her.
“You’re fucking crazy!”
Alice swore at the beast, much too Alastair’s anger.
“After i picked you off the streets and gave you a better life?”
Alastair reverted back to his human form.
“All the times i protected you from unlawful police?”
Alastair walked closer to her.
“Please, do not do this…”
Alastair held onto her hands.
In a split second, Alice pierced into his chest, reopening the wound that just healed.
“I loved you, but you had too many red flags!”
Alice twisted the knife as she drove it deeper into his chest.
“Heh, grauh!”
Alastair coughed blood, noticed the knife were covered in a large dose of poison.
“No, no!”
Alastair began choking Alice, slowly breaking her neck.
Ryan immediately hurled a tendril at Alastair, trapping him. Ryan screamed as Alastair began breaking free.
“The serum!”
Alice yelled at Sven.
Sven ran to her and gave it.
“Ice Blast!”
“Water Blast!”
Both James and Derrick began freezing Alastair, slowing him down.
“Now!”
Alice instructed Sven to give the serums to Alastair.
“ALICE!”
Alastair screamed as he snapped off Ryan’s tentacle, broke free of the ice-effect and destroyed the entire floor they were standing on, the entire building crumbling down to the floor.
After a few minutes, the wizard’s awoken, to see the entire facility was nothing by debris, as Alastair’s stood over them.
“Where is the Serum?”
Sven shifted around the ruble, finding nothing.
“I am going to enjoy draining all of you of your lives, enjoying the sight of your lifeless bodies!”
Alastair growled.
Just as Alastair stomped towards them, he would be sniped.
“Go, go, go!”
Military arrived as they dropped down from trees and ran out of bushes as they attacked Alastair.
“Good idea calling them, Sarah.”
Leon thanked her.
“I may have been kicked off, by i do still have communications with the commander.”
Sarah smiled.
Many military officers, while putting up a good battle, would be slowly picked off one by one.
“I found the Serum!”
Bennet yelled, alerting Alastair.
“No!”
Alastair stabbed Bennet.
“Euh!”
Bennet went out a faint-scream in pain before throwing the serum towards the wizards.
Alice jumped into air kicking two of the serums at Alastair.
“Wind Blast!”
Kent flew about five of them at Alastair.
“Raaugh!”
Alastair began foaming white-bubbles.
Charles saw last serum falling towards Alastair and ran towards it.
“Haugh!”
Alastair pierced Charles in the chest.
“Die, asshole!”
Charles caught the vile in the air and smashed the serum onto Alastair’s head, giving both of them the serum.
“…”
Alastair’s eyes widened with shock as he fell down onto the floor and finally, stopped breathing.
Charles stumbled backwards, the serum he smashed started to burn away at his skin whilst blood from his wound slowly seeped out and finally fell down.
“Dad…Dad!?”
Ryan kneeled in front of Charles.
“Don’t leave me too!”
Ryan began crying as he hugged Charles.
“…Ryan-”
Charles whispered his name in a faint, withered voice.
All the other wizards arrived as they looked at Charles.
“We’ve had one hell of a run, old friend.”
James spoke to him.
“…Kyla…”
Charles spoke his dead wife’s name before finally, coming to a rest.
Silent fell among the wizards, all of them kneeling down in respect.
-1 day later-
All the wizards built a mini-gravestone for Charles outside the oldest wizard temple infront of the entrance of it.
“He would have loved to have it here, infront of where his journey started.”
James spoke.
The girl who had been free of the curse of the Wendigo sat down on a rock, playing with a flower.
“Hey…”
Ryan slowly walked over to the former-wendigo.
“Where is my father?”
She spoke.
“Hmm, what was his name?”
Ryan smiled.
“Alastair, he says i should just call him Al for short.”
The girl spoke.
Ryan stared in shock, his heart pounding fast.
“He, uhh…”
Ryan quietly stared into the sky.
“…”
Ryan closed his eyes.
“He just went to work…for a little while.”
Ryan looked back at her.
“When will he be back?”
She replied.
A long silent pause fell upon them both, Ryan desperately wanting to tell her the truth.
“Soon, very, very soon.”
He smiled while standing back up.
“We should join the others, it’s getting pretty cold.”
Ryan and the girl walked to the other wizards.
“What is your name?”
Ryan looked down at her.
“…”
The little girl did not say anything.
“Dani?”
Ryan questioned.
He girl quickly nodded “No”
“…How about Kyla?”
Ryan remembered his mother’s name.
The girl nodded while smiling at the name.
James and Ryan sat together.
“Pretty cool what you did back there.”
James spoke to Ryan.
“Charles never said how i did that…what am i?”
Ryan questioned James.
“Have you ever looked at a person, who was deformed and considered them human?”
James looked at Ryan.
“Of course they are.”
Ryan looked at the floor, looking at ants who exited their nest.
“Despite how different, you may be Ryan, or any of us wizards…we’re still human.”
James concluded.
