Alice and Derrick searched the abandoned tavern, looking for anyway to access the radiation readings down in the basement.
Derrick saw a little trapdoor and after opening it, was a staircase that led down into the basement.
“Found it!”
Derrick yelled.
Alice rushed over as they both stood infront of the dark staircase.
“Any idea what’s down there?”
Derrick questioned.
“I have a sneaking suspicious that something caused the glass cup to break rather than by wind.”
Alice answered.
Both of them slowly descended down the stairs, each step they took caused the steps to creak. Derrick took another step and it would break, causing him to lose balance and fall down onto the basement floor.
“Derry, are you okay?”
Alice quickly went down to help Derrick.
“AUH- my as…did you just call me Derry?”
Derrick narrowed his eyebrow while numbing the pain on his behind.
“Yeah erm…sorry, but uhh, the radiation reading and much higher, we must be clos-”
Alice replied but would be caught off guard by the humming of large cannon with glowing, green, energy.
A rough-looking scientist came out of hiding, his shirt had the name “Dr. Nathan” written on it, he was holding a button that was rigged to the cannon that they stood Infront of.
“Wh- ho- who are you people?”
Dr. Nathan fearfully spoke.
-Abandoned Building | Team Ryan and Sven-
Ryan quickly went down through the hole left by Sven and the Dark Wizard, landing right next to them.
“Did you get him?”
Ryan questioned.
“Got him? I knocked the hell out of him!”
Sven laughed while kicking the dark wizard at the side of the chest.
Ryan and Sven stood there for a while until they were interrupted by a soft whispering outside.
“Erm…who goes there?”
Ryan yelled; his face curled into confusion.
“Ryan…Ryan…”
Two distinct voices began calling out and began to multiple.
“Hey- Show yourself! Stop playing around!”
Sven also yelled.
Eventually the voices abruptly stopped as a door behind them slowly opened up with nothing by darkness beside it.
“What in the tarnation?”
Sven whispered.
“Thrroosh!”
Knightfall would rush at the both of them, the force of the attack knocking both Ryan and Sven through a wall of the building and onto the streets.
“AHHH!”
Ryan and Sven would yell in pain, splitters all over their bodies.
-Not too far away | Team Fang and James-
The dark wizard, Pathogene was still looking through his clouds, searching for the two of them.
“Hey James, while i was recovering my memories i came across a strange scroll…and do you know what happens when gasses- or in this case, poison meets with fire?”
Fang questioned.
James quickly nodded and looked back at the field.
“It’s either i find you or the poison claims you!”
Pathogene yelled, unaware that the both of them were watching them from a building.
“Flare Blast!”
Fang shot a blast of fire towards the field of poison, igniting it all and causing Pathogene to catch on fire.
“Urghhh, AUUUUH!”
Pathogene yelled in pain.
Fang quickly teleported to the dark wizard punching him into the air, before leaping up to slam Pathogene right onto the floor.
James quickly jumped down and walked towards Fang, both looking at the villain.
“Who are you and where is Knightfall?”
James spoke.
“I thought he’d be attacking the strongest pair first…oh…you better run to your friends…AHAHAHA!”
Pathogene began laughing histercially.
James froze his fist and knocked the wizard out with a single punch.
“We have to find them, now!”
James yelled.
-Streets | Team Ryan and Sven-
Ryan and Sven layed injured, the pain leaving them unable to get back up.
Knightfall stood at the end of the street, his dark, crimson eyes, while dark, could still be seen glaring at the two boys.
Ryan saw him and slowly stood back up, ignoring the pain received and began walking towards the villain.
Both Derrick, Alice and the new Scientist, Nathan arrived, after having settled their situation.
“There he is, that demon.”
Dr. Nathan growled.
Derrick quickly went to his brother, Sven and carried him out of the battlefield.
“What do we do?”
Derrick spoke while carrying Sven.
“Neither of you are strong enough to defeat him…that boy however, he’s got spirit.”
Dr. Nathan was fascinated by Ryan.
“Well, we can’t stand here and do nothing, he’s going to butcher him!”
Alice replied.
“I have a plan, missy, do not threat.”
Dr. Nathan smiled at her, before looking back at Ryan.
Ryan eventually stood about 30 feet away from him.
“You were calling my name, why, what do you want from me?!”
Ryan yelled.
“So that is your name? You remind me of someone i killed not too long ago.”
Knightfall spoke softly, but loud enough to be heard.
“I do not care how powerful you are, you’re not going to hurt anyone again!”
Ryan yelled, blue sapphire shards growing from his hand.
“Sapphire Blast!”
Ryan shot his first spell at the Dark Wizard.
Knightfall effortlessly jolted his body right, dodging the blast, catching it and rushed over towards Ryan.
Knightfall began slashing the crystal at Ryan but missed twice.
“Sapphire Leap!”
Ryan repeated three times getting high enough in the air.
“Sapphire Barrage!”
Ryan then yelled, releasing several shards at the enemy.
The Dark Wizard began jumping and climbing off each shard that was shot at him, eventually reaching Ryan and the two fell down from the sky.
Both began punching, kicking and shoving each other while in the air and when they landed, Knightfall slammed him onto the floor.
“GAH!”
Ryan tried crawling away but was picked up and continued to be beaten up by Knightfall.
“He’s killing him, dammit! Water Blast!”
Derrick shot a bolt of water at Knightfall, but was completely unfazed.
“Now’s my que…”
Dr. Nathan grabbed a special flintlock with blue energy glowing in the barrel.
“What’s that going to do? Power him up?!”
Sven yelled.
“Dampen his magic energy regeneration and his endurance.”
Nathan smartly spoke, taking off his glasses to shoot.
“Uh, AH-”
Ryan, blood trickling down his forehead and into his eyes, he grunted, continuing to be punched.
Knightfall than powered up his fist with dark energy and punched Ryan straight into his sternum, shattering multiple bones.
“RAUH-”
Ryan let out a his last breathe in pain before falling to the floor, as blood poured out from his mouth.
“Ka-PEWSH”
Nathan would shoot his gun, the shot hitting Knightfall straight into his neck.
“Gah…”
The dark wizard growled, feeling his magic energy and durability being stripped away.
Fang and James arrived, Fang immediately dashed towards him, conjuring a shadow scythe and slashed off his arm.
“!”
Nathan would have a look of shock, almost fear as he watched this happen.
“RRAAAUuugH!”
Knightfall let out a beastly roar managing to have just enough magic energy to blast Fang backwards and teleport away.
Once the dark wizard was gone, everyone raced towards Ryan, who had lost heaps of blood with multiple ribs piercing his lungs.
“Take him back to your world, only I can mend his wounds.”
Dr. Nathan softly spoke, applying a sleeping-agent onto Ryan’s face, causing him to sleep.
