simply speaking, everyone have a number of āgatesā which determine how many magics/Arts can they have
āCardinal Artsā such as Water, Lightning and Shadow requires 1, while Gravity requires 4 ( or is it 5 ? cant remember lmao ) since itās an Abnormal Arts
most people are born with 0 or 1 Gates, sometimes 2, rarely 3, and very rarely, 4. 5 is something that only happen like once in several generations
