This is amazing work. Do you come up with the “traits” for each of these magics on your own, or do you take suggestions? I have a few ideas that I think would be…well, interesting, even if they aren’t the best.

I can take suggestions. Like what Phi did, he suggested Light as ‘hope’ and i decided to use that suggestion since sometimes the symbolism articles i read are too vague on what traits a specific element is supposed to be.
Mm “Connection” is easily understood because wood is immediately thought of as trees, and trees have roots. Therefore, the tree is connected to the earth and connects the soil to the oxygen and water inside it. There’s also the term “family tree” which we humans use to help show the blood connections between people, which I find ironic because trees don’t have blood.
