How many words are there?
“Many people estimate that there are more than a million words in the English language. In fact, during a project looking at words in digitised books, researchers from Harvard University and Google in 2010, they estimated a total of 1,022,000 words and that the number would grow by several thousand each year. When you see a massive number like this, though, it’s important to remember that this includes different forms of the same word. It also includes lots of words that we could call archaic (they are not used in modern English).” - Random Blog
That’s just an estimate of how many words there were during the whole history of the English Language. Let’s instead take a look at Collins Dictionary, the dictionary with the highest word count, roughly 750000. That’s 272000 less than the estimate of all the words in the English language. Here is a list of all the other dictionaries word counts:
Merriam-Webster: 470000
Oxford Dictionary: 600000
Wikipedia Wikitionary: 520000
Now that we concluded this topic. Can we make the bot into a DM, like it can roll a 2d6 but not a 1d20 or 1d4 or even 2d4 maybe 1d8. Also maybe even a built in AI that can act like a DM maybe a whole other bot for it. Idk forum seems nice and clean though.
Edit: HE ROLLS OTHER DICE TOO!!1!!
