I made this post because I was thinking of worldbuilding in terms of how portals would be used. Another example I thought of were portal-based server rooms, basically allowing anyone across the world to play together in extremely low ping. Take note that portals bypass the speed of light, meaning that you can travel between 2 portals instantly even if they are over millions of light years away. This will result in space travel becoming easier.

maybe you should have a strainer on top or smth to “reset” the velocity

also dw air resistance will cap out the momentum

Maybe would be more ethical if the bottom portal went to like a water filtration plant, and the top portal comes from another area of said plant with clean water

Doesn’t the water wash away the dirt and whatnot into a drain and away from you? You’d be just pouring dirtier water on yourself over time.
