Writer's bump

For those who don’t know, Writer’s bump is a callous that forms on the finger (typically the middle) that develops due to prolonged use of high pressure or a strong grip on a pen(cil). I’m an artist and i’ve always known myself to press hard on the paper i draw on (or write on), having had the callous for literally as long as i can remember. Kind of got me curious to see who else might have one, though i’d suspect more artists have it than writers nowadays.

Writer’s bump?
  • yes
  • no
  • i HAD one but it’s gone

i came into this thinking this was a plug for us writers :frcryin:

hahahaaaa@a

but fr, they should change the name of this thing bc it’s more prominent among artists probably

I have a thick one on my middle finger since forever because I haven’t learned to hold a pencil properly for the past 11 years.

Yes and it’s painful

I hate this thing so much
I’m left handed so having to deal with this, and ink getting smeared on my hand was so annoying.
