Pretty cool, since both Radius and Impact are currently planned to get added then he could use them since bosses using unobtainable stuff is nothing new
what the hell is happening here
Roblox Studio:
is it a bad idea though to give Wotan a sea curse and then to have a back to back boss fight though with Vidan? Since I think a second phase of him just using a lightning sea curse is too dull. I think him having a singular phase then have like an intermission just to have a little animation of killing his dad to gain the sea curse seems cool idk.
Am I doing something wrong? I just wanted to share my little fan made idea for the story. I already explained up top I know this isn’t being added nor this is a suggestion, just really speculation and fan ideas of what could possibly happen for the story.
i didn’t read anything, i just felt like saying that because i saw like 10 replies which exceeded 300 words
don’t worry about it, keep it going
oh I thought you were about to shut it down LOL. alright I’ll talk more if anyone provides ideas or anything, if not I’ll continue to work on more ideas to share. Feel free to join in.
Wdym? Like model these scenes out? I have moon animator and all but I’m terrible at modelling and animation LOL.
If it acts as a second phase then I see no issue especially earlier in the sea as long as the second phase is unique enough, many bosses got multiple phases or cool stuff with nothing to really show for it (Argos revamp when please).
Or we can torture the player and give Vidan 2 phases in the first fight, he runs off, we chase him, he gets curse, and then he has 2 more phases (could be fun for anything besides farming unless the mirage just stays in the second location with all 4 phases)
If anything we can give him his own armor and his mirage will be in the first boss battle. Then in the other place he’ll steal all of Wotan’s armor and weapons, maybe he even uses a cursebane as a weapon. Then Wotan’s armor and weapons will be a drop. With him being a viking it’ll probably be an arcanium spear and that spear holds excess lightning magic inside of it because of the lightning curse.
Ohhh good idea, that way Wotan’s stuff is still obtainable even with no fight
Also maybe he becomes something like Enel from One Piece with the sea curse. I think someone wanted Wotan to be a giant, but we can say that Wotan was always bigger than Vidan. So this will dive into his insecurity by using the sea curse to make himself larger than him. Like the reasoning why I said of Vidan having Wotan’s armor because it show’s that he stole everything from Wotan. The dude practically took everything from his father. My reasoning will further be displayed in this next message which is the description of Vidan.
Vidan the Vengeful :
Vidan was Wotan’s first son and his mother was a kind, yet strong person. His life was peaceful and did very little training only until his mother died at the hands of a younger General Argos. He blames his father for letting her die and this hate goes even further when Wotan gets together with another woman to produce his younger brother Heimdan. Both of them were trained hard once Heimdan reached the age of 5, (Vidan reached the age of 10, 5 year difference). Vidan never had kids because he was only focused on bringing down his father. Once he found out that he could take advantage and manipulate his brother that looked up to him, he did so. Once his father got severely injured in a battle he took the chance to swap his bottle of medicine with condensed dark sea water, not noticing it only is making his fathers condition worse.
This ties back to pretty much everything and the reasoning why Veidan hates Wotan so much. If he was so strong why couldn’t he save his mother.
Heimdan the Ruthless :
Heimdan was Wotan’s second son born 5 years after Vidan and he looked up to his big brother. Unlike before Wotan only had Heimdan for power and found a woman with very strong magical powers. It was said that he could already make a caravel with his wood magic at the age of 6. Yet the one person he looked up to wasn’t his father, but his brother. He was so surprised of how he can do so much with no magic what so ever and he idolized him. This was taken advantage of by Vidan though and Heimdan never had his own set path in life, but the path his brother gave him. (This part ties back to the final act of the nimbus sea.) After the fight is finished with Wotan you have a choice to save him or not from the falling debris of the cave, this will affect how his son will treat you in the end of the story. If you save him the son will be grateful, yet chooses to imprison his father for the time being because of his wrong doings. If you decide to let him die his son will be angry at you, yet understandable after getting told that Heimdan caused his own death by choosing to fight you.
Do you plan on expanding on the arcs of side characters like Iris and Morden? Imo they’re in desperate need of some solid characterization and development. Others have pointed this out, but their characterizations are heavily carried by fanart.
Definitely. I’ll probably go with what the community wants Morden and Iris to be but heres a rough idea of how it’ll go. The whole storyline isn’t going to be just on Keraxe obviously and other islands like Sameira and random islands so I might just do it that way.
Iris
For now though I’m glad you said that because I want Iris to be a highlight of the Sameira Kingdom chapter, since it’s the land of the sun. So I’m taking a stretch here by saying that most of the magic users there are practically heat based and Iris is treated very highly because of her flare magic. This can be put onto Iris’s mind if she wants to stay in Sameira because she found a place where she belongs. Although the other thing she questions is if she wants to stay and adventure the seas with you (the protagonist) and Morden. Later though she would realize that these people only cared about her magic and not her, there can be like advertisements around the town saying “Come see the amazing flare user at the kingdom’s Christmas festival” with nothing about iris and only her magic. Once progressing through the chapter more people have forgotten about Iris and only care about the queen of sameira again. I feel like how Iris’s character was made after the Order of Aesir started to hunt her she never could settle down and feel like she could belong somewhere, only until she met the main character’s group. So once an entire kingdom starts to show her love I feel like she would drop the rage act and become vulnerable after such a long time of being hunted down. Iris as a character on the outside acts very tough but once she got comfortable with the group she started to show a more friendly and warm personality. Since honestly I don’t want Iris to be a Tsundere what so ever, but in reality that’s Iris’s personality. I don’t want her to throw out her tough personality though. So that’s my rough idea for Iris since honestly I don’t really know what the artists make out of Iris’s personality so I’ll look more into it later.
Morden
Now Morden will be gone more into depth probably in Keraxe. In the Morden Journal it talks about how Morden practically fears the death curse once getting it and doesn’t want to let this massive amount of power to take control of him. Also Morden stresses himself out because he has nobody left from his life before getting tortured but the player, even that doesn’t help that much because the player has amnesia. So I want in this chapter which is going to be the final chapter to not completely focus on Morden since I’m introducing new characters. Yet on the side I want to hint at Morden holding himself back always. You can say it’s stupid of me saying this, but how does a dude with the curse of death have a tie with a person made out of glass. Yes he is inexperienced with his newly found powers and General Julian has had many years of experience with his sea curse, I think Morden mentally was holding his powers back. I believe that Morden although he wants to protect his friends and wanted to settle the score with Julian he couldn’t fully bring himself to use his powers to kill. Personally I feel like at the end the son will replace Morden for the time being as Morden needs to figure out himself alone. Since I feel that if he continues to stay with the group he won’t progress as a character. If anything he can go train with Warren for the time being. I’m not a Morden hater at all nor do I want him out of the story, but him having the death curse and not being able to fully use it for it’s name disappoints me.
You can do it for him if he pays you or somethin or you do it yourself
I like this idea that Iris would be seeking validation and desperately wanting to make connections with people. At Wind-Row, she seemed kind of pleasantly surprised that we called her our friend. I imagine she’s officially an orphan, with a deceased father and an unmentioned mother, and with her being a teenager I can only imagine how badly she wants to belong somewhere. However, I think the idea of her seeking validation should be a bit more small scale and more low-key. She was involved in the party that assassinated King Calvus, and since he was apparently the only thing standing between Keraxe and Sameria, Sameria might not be too thrilled that they’ve just been made prime targets for conquest. She and and the gang should be trying to hide their identities as best they can, especially Iris’s lost magic and Morden’s Curse since they’re so iconic. This aspect of her arc could instead be done in a smaller-scale fashion, such as meeting kids her age from a reasonably sized town and being immediately accepted into a friend group that doesn’t see her as “The Anomaly,” or an assassin, but as a fellow ordinary kid. This could further her indecisiveness about staying with the MC or settling down to at least try and live a normal life before it all goes to crap. Which, of course, leads to her making the vital decision of whether to stay with the MC, which she eventually ends up doing because, maybe after some reflection or an incident of some sort with the townsfolk (maybe a betrayal, which would fit in with your theme), she decides that trying to prevent Samerian kids from experiencing the same thing she did would be worth sacrificing her happiness over. I love your idea! Imo it just shouldn’t be kingdom-wide adoration, because that would paint a target on her back. I’m not very familiar with what a “tsundere” type character is, though I’ve heard the term. Could you explain? Really, the artists just depict her as a tough spitfire, which is basically further developed by Neviro’s journal and her dialogue. A lot of people don’t think she’s very interesting, and I can see why, but honestly she has a lot of potential to become a highly-developed, fleshed out character!
I don’t think your view is stupid at all. It is pretty strange how glass—which in and of itself is pretty weak as a magic, so as a Curse I imagine it’s one of the weaker ones—could compete with the Death Curse. I still want to know what exactly holding the Death Curse entails, and how exactly it works when it’s being used. Is the Curse holder just able to produce one-hit-kill blasts? Or is it more abstract and flexible? As in, can Morden kill an entire forest of trees with one touch, or can he reach inside someone and stop their heart or give them a stroke without even touching them? Regardless, I really like the idea of him always holding back, and him really understanding the new responsibility he holds when he encounters Vidan with the Lightning Curse and how he abuses that power. Morden’s arc could consist of having to process and confront the loss he’s experienced. Maybe the MC keeps pestering him about their past, the lab, and who they were before they lost their memories, but he keeps closing up because it’s such a sore subject. This drives a rift between him and the MC, which he doesn’t want, but he can’t help but be a bit bitter. Eventually he finally opens up about his frustrations for being the only one to remember, for being angry at the MC despite knowing his feelings are unfair, but he just can’t help it. This admission on his part could occur after Vidan’s betrayal, when he realizes those feelings were picked up on by Vidan and manipulated (thus characterizing Vidan as a mastermind like you want). This leads to the MC suggesting they start over and introduce themselves, and to talk about their past when Morden is ready (maybe the MC has flashbacks of their past and this is what drives them to pester Morden so badly, because they see things they can’t make sense of but desperately want to). Morden comes to realize that he shouldn’t push away the MC, or anyone for that matter, and realize that if he’s going to help stop a war he’s going to need help, that if he’s struggling mentally he’s going to need support, and that if he’s going to be immortal then he needs to hold close to the ones he cares about as long as he can.
Oooh, so the MC, Morden, and Iris have their own respective storylines dealing with betrayal. MC experiences this with Heimdan, Morden experiences this with Vidan (maybe he possesses the Lightning Curse before Wotan dies? And this commonality he and Morden has leads them to bond and makes the betrayal more impactful?), and Iris experiences this with maybe the townsfolk. Maybe they recognize who she is and report her or something, which leads to the gang getting in trouble with Sameria (that is, if you plan on Sameria not being too thrilled about having the assassins of King Calvus in its kingdom). These betrayals drive them closer together and lets their dynamic evolve organically as they bond over their shared experiences.
