I’m writing a novel inspired by Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere. This is my first attempt at a full-length book, and I’ll be drawing heavily from his various series, particularly Mistborn and Stormlight Archive.

The novel follows a young noble from Scadrial named Elric Lur, who is chosen by Harmony to act as an agent of Ruin on Roshar. While there, he becomes a Knight Radiant of the Dustbringer order and begins a journey of learning what it truly means to wield destruction—and balance—in the broader Cosmere.

Plot Outline (Rough Draft)
Act 1 – Scadrial:
• Introduce Elric, his noble background, and his Twinborn abilities
• Show his growing connection to Harmony
• Harmony reveals a growing imbalance and asks Elric to travel to Roshar as his “Ruin”
• Elric is hesitant, but agrees—setting his journey in motion
Transition to Roshar:
• A worldhopper (character TBD) helps Elric cross over
• Elric arrives in war-torn Alethkar, unfamiliar with the land or its dangers
• Begins to learn about Roshar’s cultures, Surgebinding, and Radiants
Bonding with a Spren:
• A mysterious ashspren begins following Elric—he doesn’t understand what it is at first
• Through hardship, Elric swears the First Ideal, becoming a Dustbringer
Ghostbloods’ Involvement:
• Elric’s Mistborn powers attract the Ghostbloods’ attention
• They attempt to recruit (or manipulate) him for their own goals
