“Alright, bring it on!” Alcino called out as he hit his fists together. He dashed towards Kaitlyn, summoning a huge ball of Light in his right hand. “Divine Blast!” Alcino threw the ball at Kaitlyn, sending her straight into a building.

[Part 18]
Ben speaks up, turning towards his friend.
“Please tell me it was that easy.”
The ruble erupts into a piller of flame, Kaitlyn emerging with a snarl on her face.
“Of course not.”
Alcino only smirks, light gathering around him in waves before he activates a mode spell.
“You might wanna step back. This is gonna get messy.”

[Part 19]
“Oh, using that damn Light Mode? Fine, I’ll power up too!” Kaitlyn said as she concentrated her magic, creating a flaming aura around her. She drew her sword and charged at Ben, the blade emitting an intense magical energy. Alcino drew his sword and began parrying all of her very powerful swings, each clash creating a loud clanking noise that could be heard through the ruined town.
“Sloppy as ever Kaitlyn.” Alcino said arrogantly, before deflecting Kaitlyn’s blade and delivering a knee to her gut.

[ Part 20 ]
Kaitlyn backed away after the gut attack to settle herself up, and charged back at Alcino with her blade from above. But before Alcino could parry her blade once again, she sidestepped and dropped the attack onto his leg.
On the other hand, Ben had been charging his magic attack. As he saw Kaitlyn attacking Alcino’s leg, he started heading towards her.
[ Part 21 ]
Ben charged at Kaitlyn, but miscalculated his approach in his haste, his blast completely missing her face, allowing her to slash deeply into Alcino’s leg.
“Perhaps you should choose your words and friends more carefully,” said Kaitlyn, as she prepared to square off against Ben.

[Part 22]
Silent, Ben watched. He couldn’t use a sword or any weapon well for that matter, he was adequate obviously, but he was more comfortable with his magic. “So be it,” he thought, “I’ll stick with magic then”.
Leaping backward, he barely dodged the blade’s deadly slash.
He aimed a magical wind blast at the ground intending to knock Kaitlyn off balance.

[ Part 23 ]
The wind blast knocked Kaitlyn off for a few seconds. Within that, Ben used this moment’s rush to pick Alcino up and ran away from the ruined Riverville.
Where was he running to? Even Ben didn’t know! All that he knew was not letting Kaitlyn knock both of them out one by one, and attempting to figure out what happened when he’s trying to sleep.
While Ben was running away with Alcino as best as he could, Kaitlyn with her mode spell chased after them.
[Part 24]
“Ignition Ascension!” Kaitlyn scream as she created a flight spell, shooting flames from her feet as she flew towards the pair like a jet. Ben looked back and saw Kaitlyn gradually close the gap. He knew it would be a matter of time before she caught up to them both, and he was searching his brain for a plan to avoid certain doom. And then, he got one. He remembered that there was a magic council outpost nearby. If he could lure Kaitlyn there, they’d be safe!
[PART 25]
But he was running out of time. He stomped hard on the ground, and a massive explosion of wind whirled around him, like a tornado touching down on the ground.
Kaitlyn crashed backwards, the flames sucked away into the whirling winds.
“Damn you!” she yelled, charging forward.
Perfect. Ben ran backwards, relying on quick bursts of wind to dash out of the range of her sword.

[Part 26]
Ben continued to use the bursts of wind from his feet to evade Kaitlyn, the very tip of her sword just barely cutting the sole of his shoes as he boosted away.
“Why are you after Alcino?!” Ben yelled to Kaitlyn.
“Our business is none of your business! You can just die!!” When Kaitlyn realized that she could reach Ben with her sword, she sheathed it, and came to a stop. Ben was relieved when she stopped, thinking he could make it to the outpost, but he was once again afraid when he saw a magic circle forming in her hands.
[PART 27]
Ben decided it was bo good simply running. Clearly, she was the superior wizard and would win in a battle of attrition like this. So he seized his chance as she began preparing the circle, and spun on his heels turning to her.
“Oh, you’re approaching me? Instead of running away, you’re coming to me?” She asked, taunting him, and releasing the circle as he had hoped.
“I can’t beat the shit out of you without getting closer,” Ben replied, with as much bravo he could muster, circling her.
"Then come as close as you like, she said, as Ben rushed towards her. Kaitlyn prepared her defence and Ben… slipped past and ran in the opposite direction.
[part 28]
Alcino, still being carried by ben and having charged his magic energy, shot a countless number of very small but fast light blasts that seemed to change direction sharply and unpredictably (for reference but it’s not exactly like this) but then ended up hitting her from different angles, sometimes after missing a few times. Her eyes had been targeted as well as some random other parts just to distract and confuse her about where the attacks were meant to hit. She countered using repeating self explosions but while alcino was still firing the blasts, ben noticed that as she was doing that and chasing them at the same time, she was making her flames not touch the ground so as not to disturb her running by destroying some of it. Ben then used a self-pillar-explosion to create a small deep hole in the ground he was just leaving because at the pace she was moving, with her blinking self explosions obstructing her vision, it being night time and the blindness not fully worn off, she might not see it in time. She moved so quickly that only her foot got caught in the hole while the rest of her body continued over it but she seemed to hurt her ankle and that was enough
