I’m a fairly new member here in the forums, so I haven’t really seen some of the stories that were written by the community around 2020 to 90% of 2021. But I’ve noticed that the stories that were written around September 2021 until now, haven’t extended beyond 40-50 chapters (unless I might be oblivious to one that existed).
Although there are some that have extended through multiple parts. I get that depending on the writer, alongside the parameters that the Arcane Universe holds, there might not be enough content to keep a series going for too long.
With that, I have a couple of questions for you all.
-
What are you thoughts on a long-running series? One that would run through possibly at least 80 chapters following an entire storyline of a character (Similar to how AA would follow the storyline of the main character, who starts off weak and eventually becomes insanely powerful).
-
What do you think about made up islands and locations? Applies mainly to AO, since there’s little information about the various islands and even the kingdoms that were mentioned. Would you be interested in reading about an island that won’t even exist when AO releases?

When you write a story, or create an OC, how strong do you intend your character to be? What factors does it depend on?
