FINALLY (According to all known laws of grammar, this is not, in fact, a complete sentence)
Uh oh
You forgot savant
Time to see what the Lore Doc, Lost, and Ancient Magic changes are being done now.
Can’t wait to see if the changes there change how Warlocks can play or whatever.
I didn’t bother fully accounting for Savants since they’re off doing their own thing.
They’d likely just follow the 1 Lost equivalent for all paths invested if that’s possible. While having Imbue, Str Wep, Arcanium Weps, Spirit Wep shenanigans.
Imbuing Magic, FS, and Spirit/Spirit Wep imbue on a wep is funny and neat tho.
Assuming they can do that. .
Savant is the class you run to min-max with synergies
robert boyle?
Dude I saw you typing hours ago, left to go see a movie, then came back to see you still typing.
Anyways yeah good explanation of possible builds and the possible consequences of lost magics being restricted to 2nd magic only.
Speaking of Lost Magics, I’ve figured for a few days that Heat is my best choice for natural progression in Lost Magics, since I use Plasma, but I’m reconsidering.
One of the best parts is Scorched, and Heat has Burning.
Pros
- Heat goes AKREEW instead of EEEUOP
- It has Lost Magic stats
- It makes some clouds
Cons
- Heat goes AKREEW instead of EEEUOP
- It’s less colorful
- It doesn’t have Scorched
- It’s probably not as fast
Curse my niche need for a quick DoT on a speedy magic with heat-based capabilities!
I was gonna say I doubt it but it’s possible that vetex will lower requirements for lost magics for certain stat builds. I doubt any build will have more lost magics than a pure build though, vetex has mentioned before that hybrids only get 1 lost but it could’ve been changed.
I am going with the assumption that each build will have only 2 lost variants or in the case of pure builds they get access to an ancient to supplement one of the lost variants. My guess is that Savants will likely have to distribute their points in a way that prioritizes one or two categories over the others to obtain a lost or two.
god damn.
Yeah, but I could see the balance team adjusting that when it comes down to us being there. A lot of info on the trello is hella outdated, so we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves when they come out. Unless someone asks Vetex that question
Not really…? Of course games will have a disconnect, I don’t really see a reason in complaining about it. Awakenings are explained the way they are in-game so it’s easier for the player to grasp the concept. Can you name other inconsistencies?
But what’s the issue? I don’t think anyone was complaining about Dante collecting and spending red orbs to unlock more moves that he had previously being inaccurate to the lore of the game, or a announcer yelling SSS, or your theme song starting to play when you hit a SS. It’s just a natural part of a game.
Has he? The lore doc seems to match up pretty nicely with the game, and while yeah the retcons happen. You have to remember the game isn’t yet finished and is still in development, obviously changes and adjustments will happen.
Won’t that just mean that they’ll be able to get two lost fighting styles then?
I don’t think so. Hybrids are already only allowed to have one lost magic if any, so the same probably applies for FS, be kinda weird if it didn’t. But who knows maybe it works differently for fs. Still not very desirable to be unable to imbue lost on lost if you pick a 2nd fs. Being able to imbue a lost magic onto a lost fs sounds much more desirable than having 2 lost fs and a base magic, but maybe I’m wrong and others don’t see it that way.
to this day I still want to petition to give savant singular imbue on first awakening
literally even with the magic requirement buff on second magic it’s hardly ever used due to being stuck on tier 1 most of the time
I don’t think it’s that only savants can imbue two things at once, just nobody else has two things to imbue
year 8 without a footjob
plasma doesn’t go EEEUOP it goes EEEUGbwa-ah-ah
Nah. Eeeuop all the way.
