You all asked for another...here you go, Arcane Odyssey Riddle pt. 2

epic

why do yall want more riddles if we couldnt solve this riddle, hell even the first riddle

we need to SOLVE these, if we get another riddle our feeble caveman brains will explode

ao protagonist and pk interact in some way, perhaps they do battle given the nature of the image, or they work together. it depends honestly

Nah new riddle just cause

because it’s FUN
we’re close on this one, and I’m working on the first and second

“Saturn ascends
Choose one or ten
Hang on or be humbled again”

This has basically turned into who can decipher what the poetry means first

Saturn = Cronus in Greek Myth

Choose one or ten = idk some choice, or the unknowns
Hang on or be humbled again = idk, survive or get killed again

i can’t do that much thinking since I had an algebra test today and my brain was fried :frpensive:

Maybe the AO character has to make a certain decision thats based off of something that keeps on occurring?

hang on or be humbled again

hmmm who gets humbled in the events of the arcane universe? durza. killed by some random peasant after accidentally reviving him. the protagonist is durza in some form or another

protagonist has to choose between fighting the peacekeeper and being humbled again, or allying with them and hanging on

one is obviously chaos, the manifestation of evil
ten could be the peacekeeper, he’s only #8 in wom, and this is before he gets the absorption curse
basically, choose ten, the PK, and hang on, or choose 1, chaos, and get humbled again.

saturn is cronus, a titan in greek mythology, who was chopped into hundreds of pieces and thrown into the underworld, perhaps he returns, ascending to the overworld, possibly as the final boss.

you are durza, or some reincarnation of him. late into the story, cronus ascends, and threatens to wreak havoc on the world. you have to choose between ten, allying with the tenth unknown, the peacekeeper, to kill cronus, or allying with cronus, who is evil, and on the side of the first unknown, chaos. peacekeeper wins either way, by allying with him the two of you survive against him, thus hanging on, by allying with cronus you two lose a gank fight against the peacekeeper, thus being humbled again, just like you were during the cursebeard war

prob 100% wrong but had fun writing it

now where the fuck did that come from

my ass

I’m just throwing things I’ve read and piecing together in my head.

Someone, possibly the the main character themselves, has wiped the main character’s memories on purpose.
Since casting Magic in this world revolves around “Minds”, if there were any method to wipe somebody’s magical powers (in this case not exactly removing their ABILITY to use magic), it would most likely also wipe their memories.
The motive could have been to rebirth them to eventually become stronger than they were before, or this was the result of an attack from a hostile party.
Judging from the first riddle, “Golden ichor of long past”, the main character’s past life was most likely related to a kingdom’s royal family.

As for tech’s latest comment, somewhere in the story we’ll have to choose between chaos, the first unknown, origin of magic and source of evil*, and the 10th unknown**. Thought that’s probably really obvious to anyone who knows about the numbered unknowns.

Asterisk disclaimers

*I actually don’t remember enough to know what chaos has to do with evil
**I’m actually unsure if number 10 was revealed yet because the clues for this stuff are so spread out and I’m not totally invested in this

This probably sounds really farfetched but I’m just sharing my ideas. Don’t badger me about it if something’s completely wrong/impossible.

I 99.89% agree with your thesis claiming golden ichor to be a metaphor for a person of noble and kingly bloodline, but who it refers to is what I’m skeptical on.

Good job on the rest of your theory but theorizing about the past would be vague and unnecessary add-ons to the riddles, which I think don’t hint to lore of the past at all.

Tech-senpai once said: “I love how little the community ACTUALLY knows about the lore, especially about the past”

I think here, tech-senpai is venting his disappointment on the community guessing about the past in which the riddles don’t hint towards the past and neither will it effect much gameplay.

For example, if AA was in the making and we got a riddle about how PK was ressurected by Durza, that wouldn’t tell us or affect game-play in any way. Instead, tech would post a riddle about Durza himself to show that game-play will lead to defeating him someway.

So past is big no-no

I’m embarrassed to say that tech-senpai’s latest comment was a repetition on a line from another song by TOOL he mentioned , in which I quoted wrong and even included morden in the theory ;w;
And no, nothing to do with chaos or 10th unknown >:T

I disagree with your theory and Poke’s analysis. I’ll edit this into my opinion on it later since it’s now lunch

How though
I know my second theory was a waste of time but I’d say golden ichor does make mention of a king with a long life.
And secondly, I am thunder stone while u just ore of veralium ;3

Lunch is very important, I understand your need of non hunger
