You are all weaklings

Everywhere you go, you see people complaing about necrobumps
You’re all just too weak to handle the power of true necrobump connoisseurs like @anon49231511

Hello my fellow arcane odyssey internet forum user, “AwesomeOS”!!

Hello my fellow arcane odyssey internet forum user, “The_elment”!!

wtf is a necrobump

yknow i had Necrobump connoisseur as my title for a little bit but I changed it

I’m a powerful sunken connoisseur

I don’t mind necros as long as they don’t necrobump some old drama or outdated question

It doesn’t matter what it is

i like seeing the message

When you reply to a topic that has been dead for a while, this brings the topic back and is called Necrobumping. Above the reply that caused the necrobump, there is a line and then text that says “(insert amount of time it’s been since the last reply here) later”.

it’s funny when people accidently necrobump like 2 year old topics

honestly ive done like at least 5 accidental necrobumps

See you in 5 years.

not if I do it first

real

all the old topics dont seem to close. All the new topics close after 182 days so it doesn’t work for newer posts. Only the oldest posts can be necrobumped above 6 months.

I get necroposting is haha funny but remember: it’s literally common internet etiquette not to bring up old shit from god knows how long ago. This forum is an absolute rarity for not immediately warning or banning someone for bringing up an old thread that’s been dead for a couple months or so. Just because we allow it doesn’t mean other people do.

And that’s today’s TAITC PSA

nah it depends on the category. off-topic posts never close automatically but most other categories do in 6 months or less. also if you change the category it doesn’t change the automatic closing, so an off-topic post changed to game discussion still wouldn’t close on its own

take this thread for example, it’s in game discussion, yet it can still be bumped. that’s because it was off topic previously (or maybe there didn’t use to be an automatic closing for game discussion who knows)

(also @AwesomeOS free bump)
