Darkrai can’t use hypnosis or any sleep moves in tournaments when his entire ability and move set revolves around sleep

If you literally cripple a character’s abilities obviously they’ll be weak

Forced to run a type of Pokémon in every matchup that you have to swap to (giving them an opportunity to predict and just hit you) is the reason why hypnosis is banned

Also if a Pokémon is asleep against a darkrai it’s just gg, bad dreams + dream eater + whatever item

about that, Ultra Necrozma actually cannot be caught, only regular Necrozma. If you try to use a pokeball during the Ultra Necrozma fight, you’ll be told “You can’t capture a fused pokemon!”
