You think we'll meet Averill?

Yeah I said that earlier

Isnā€™t that technically @-ing Vetex for something silly, because it notifies you when youā€™re quoted?

vetex doesnā€™t ban people for quoting him, since they arenā€™t doing it with the explicit intention of pinging him

the rule is about mentioning him using @name, not doing something that pings him in general. otherwise anyone who reacts to his posts would get banned

Just to add on to this I donā€™t see whatā€™s stopping him from just creating a shroud of light energy around him whenever heā€™s above deck to prevent the rain from hitting him. We already kinda have precedent for this stuff with Kraken, Ramses, & Mariaā€™s magic shrouds. Plus curses are way more energy efficient than magic so heā€™d probably be able to keep it up for a decent while

Whatā€™s the difference? They both do the same thing.

it doesnā€™t matter Iā€™m still not breaking the rules

We do not need Magic Shroud spell in AO.

umbrella:

What if, hear me out, ships with an enclosed helm exist?

those havenā€™t been invented yet because something something technological stagnation something curses

Ironclads and electricity exist in the seven seas

I mean on the trello ironclads are planned(theyā€™re never being implemented at this rate)
itā€™d be funny if they had two variants that both had low stability(since they werenā€™t meant for deep seas) but had a unique deflection mechanic where most cannonballs would ricochet off
first one has a rotating turret with only two cannons and no ram
second one has cannons on all sides along with a ram but below the waterline its vulnerable

well the arcane government is dead

Iā€™m telling ya, ironclads will not be identical to actual 1900s naval equipment

Well the knowledge was most likely widespread
And mainland had electricity

Mainland being the only place to advance past the middle ages

guys averillā€™s ship has 100 k hp heā€™ll be fine!!

Martins attack did 161k damage, heā€™s cooked (literally)

Broā€™s inability to wear armor is why they nearly bled out.
Armor couldā€™ve stopped that injury Iā€™m sure, but nah; ditch the chestplate and the rest of the armor that couldā€™ve been involved. Leave that joint between the arm and shoulder exposed so you can get an arm made up of light later.

Curse users donā€™t need armor, they have plot armor.
