Got bored, saw a video on the war crimes of the World of Warcraft playerbase, and figured I’d try a MMO myself. Ended up picking RIFT, partially since it’s where two weapons from TF2, specifically the Sharpened Volcano Fragment and Sun-on-a-Stick, come from (oh wow, an ad that actually worked), and mostly since it’s free.

Technically not my first MMO, since I played Wizard101 as a kid a lot. I tried going back to it, but you can barely do anything in the game without either paying for a membership, or doing more quizzes than I have braincells to get free access to most areas. Also might not qualify as an actual MMO, but I also loved playing Pokemon Online Indigo. Too bad it got DMCA’d last year.

Anyway this thing didn’t even finish installing before I went to bed last night even though I started installing it around 4:00 P.M. I’ve also been waiting for this part of the installation since 11:00 this morning. I know I can play it now, but I’d rather wait for it to finish up before getting in.

Those two weapons would, if anything, dissuade me from getting a game, just based on how they are in TF2 alone.

Also this game is making my PC make noises I’ve NEVER heard it make.

Got a neat picture of my character (his name is Zuulneroth btw). Gotta say, I think I made him :sparkles: SLAY :sparkles:

Also found out Stormcaller, which has all of the water/lightning spells is a subset of the Elementalist Mage “Calling” (RIFT’s way of saying Classes). My hotbar is going to be FILLED with Stormcaller spells as I get them, because y’all (might) know I’m weirdly obsessed with water-based magic.
