Only problem I see happening with this is the possibility of there being issues with “who gets what portion of the stuff from the Dark Sealed Chests”, especially if you are in a group, using just one ship. (Also, if a group with multiple ships ends up leaving the Dark Sea before dividing up their loot, but I guess that’s not something that would happen often, in most cases)
Exactly what I’m saying!
If you’re going into the dark sea with your friends then splitting the loot shouldn’t be an issue regardless of who turns it in lol.
Good way to check if your friends are your friends!!!
I have middle finger to anyone who trying to steal my dark sealed chests because i have brigs to be very extremely fast as possible(along with 4 speed legendary deckhands that gave 7 speed each and oh yea im on leaderboard but i quitted it)
Yeah, leave the plundering to PvP inside the Dark Seas.
imagine chasing someone into the dark sea to steal their chests yet that player had been there before and knows the location of a giant white eyes and leads you to your death.
Just split the loot you DO get, not everyone is going to need everything from the Dark Sealed Chests. If I get an extra warship enchant scroll and I have a friend with me that really wants it, then I’ll give it to them. If we both want a specific jewel and I have an even amount, then I can give them half; if it is odd then I can add something else to compensate or keep something that we both want in exchange for the jewel (unless they need it more than I do).
It’s all procedural but I do wonder if the Dark Sea sea monsters despawn like the islands do…
hopefully not.
I don’t see the reason in having sea monsters stay around in the Dark Seas for any extended period of time after a player has long moved to some other place in the Dark Seas.
a surplus of sea monsters
sure, the challenge of the dark sea is supposed to be the dark sea itself, not trying to get your chests to a shipwright once you enter the war seas again and getting sunk by other players or a whirlpool or a fortified caravel or something.
its not an issue rn cuz the testers are all relatively not out to make each other’s experience terrible…
nuh uh
LMAO
(real)
you arent wrong but we might as well see if its a real issue on release. worst case scenario its changed in a patch like a week after
will prob not be a problem at release, it will really start when we get sensing
At the first few weeks or so, yea it can be something like that
eventually it’ll die down though (the pvp demons will get bored of waiting)
and people will simply grind for the dark sea themselves as stated by Misinput
if very paranoid: bring a gang/squad, obvious reasons with some retaliations outside or inside the dark sea but more in your favor
i cant believe i also have to use basic street smarts (looking through the server’s players, being vigilant) just to survive the final part of the dark sea explorations but in a way, uniquely fun??? thats just me though
being a thrillseeker at times
Please yes
the new rules they shoved in are already making me want to make great burst burning potions irl
This is never happening
I highly doubt many players would camp shipwrights since it would be more efficient to just go get dark sealeds themselves rather than sitting at one of the like 10 shipwrights and waiting over an hour
