So the Dark Sea update so far has showed us that it’s one of the biggest updates that will ever come to the game, and here’s everything we know that the update will have:
New Armor Sets:
We know that as of now, Dark Sealed Chests drop 2 different armor sets but we don’t really know how they look or what stats do they give but let’s just list them anyway. We also know that Atlanteans drop a total of 8 items, and since they’re considered ITEMS and not weapons we’ll assume 7 of them are armor and the other one is their insanity modifier, since they drop those. And finally, Sirens also have armor and i’m not COMPLETELY sure, but I think players can get those.
- 2 Dark Sealed Chests Armor Sets
- 7 Atlantean Armor Items
- Siren Sets (?)
New Weapons
Unfortunately we only got 9 Atlantean weapons from this update, and the Bronze Great Axe (if i’m not going insane I saw a dude using it in selectorch’s recent video) making a total of 10 new weapons for the update.
- A total of 10 weapons
Weapon Skills
In this update we’re getting a total of 2 new weapon skills so far since I don’t know if the ‘‘unique’’ atlantean weapons will have skills of their own or they’ll just be reskins. These skills are Flying Phoenix for bladed weapons (swords) and Sparrow Thrust for polearm weapons (spears).
- Flying Phoenix for Bladed Weapons
- Sparrow Thrust for Polearm Weapons
New Lost Spells
Vetex has also added 2 new lost spells in this update for magic users. One being called ‘‘Surge’’ possibly for pure magic builds only and ‘‘Javelin’’ for hybrid and pure magic builds.
- Javelin for Magic Hybrid Builds and Magic Pure Builds
- Surge for Probably only Magic Pure Builds
New Lost Techniques
Along with Lost Spells, new Lost Techniques have been added, these being: ‘‘Selino’’ for strength hybrid builds, and ‘‘Uppercut’’ which is probably for only pure strength builds.
- Selino for Strength Hybrid Builds
- Uppercut for Strength Pure Builds
Shovel and Fishing Rod Progression
Shovel and fishing rods are getting attention, even though I don’t think anybody cares enough for them. Shovel progression works simply enough, if you’re digging things around with a unenchanted shovel, you can get a ‘‘Rich’’ (10% chance for 1 tier higher dug up chests) or ‘‘Marking’’(marks part of the ground you just dug) enchantment scroll after finishing a treasure chart location, and enchant your shovel with it. While completing charts with an enchanted shovel you’ll be able to get the ‘‘Fortune’’ (20% chance for dug up chest to be 1 tier higher) or ‘‘Goldsight’’(marks ground you just dug and 6% chance for higher tier chest) enchantment scroll for your shovel, it can be any type silver, golden, bronze. Fishing progression works basically the same but instead you get those enchants from fishing in the Dark Sea and there exclusively: ‘‘ensnaring’’,(50% lure speed) ‘‘toughened’’,(50% strength) ‘‘graced’’(50% rarity) and ‘‘treasurer’’ (50% item chance).
- New Shovel Enchantments
- New Fishing Rod Enchantments
Dark Sea
The Dark sea is an immense random generatedarea (probably bigger than the Bronze Sea) that is divided by ranges and it’s primarely seen as a place for people that have already finished the story to get stronger items and have something to do more than just wait for the next update. It’s completely random generated, so things in there will always be different. Inside the Dark Sea, players can expect to see:
- Massive Fish Type
- Intense Weather and Magic Weather
- Random Generated Islands
- Random Structures and Mega Structures
- Random Events
- Colossal Shark types and Colossal Sea Monsters
- Ghosts
-
Insanity
And Much More
Dark Sea Rewards and Enemies
In the many things you can do in the Dark Sea, you can also get rewards which i’ll list right now. I’ll also list the enemies you can encounter there, these being the Sirens and the Atlanteans. The Sirens spawn in ‘‘rocks’’ in the middle of the sea appearently while the Atlanteans can spawn in islands, ships and many other places and are classified in tiers, which allows them to get stronger and grow in size.
- New Exotic Gems
- New Armor Sets
- New Ship Parts
- New weapons
- New Potion Reagents and Possibly New Potions
-
New Features
And Much More
Imbued Dodges and Reflexes
Imbued Dodges and Reflexes are a new feature that have been introduced in this update by completing a quest that is given by Rill Hendrix at Whitesummit. They allow players to travel further than normal dashes and even have certain gimmicks to them. Magic Users get: Imbued Dodges, they can be classified in 3 types, Step, Barriers and Burst. Magics like Wind, Lightning and Light get the Step type of Imbued dodge, which allows them to move extremely fast which resembles a teleport. Tangible and Solid magics like Earth, Metal or Crystal get Barrier type, which allows them to conjure barriers to reduce damage while dodging. Other magics like Plasma,Fire or Water get Burst which is simply a magic imbued dodge.
Fighting Style Users get an unique type of ‘‘reflex’’ (not imbued dodges) which allows their fighting style to do a different gimmick than other fighting styles. Weapons Users get ‘‘Exoplis’’ that is a movement that is utilized by skilled warriors, causing your weapon to glow briefly and allowing you to dodge in the air or on the ground. When used with high agility, it can become instant. Finally, Vitality Builds get Ekrix: An ancient movement ability that involves extending soul energy outwards to absorb some damage during a dodge, granting temporary damage resistance. When used with high agility, it can become instant.
Imbued Dodges or Reflexes can be changed at anytime by talking with Rill Hendrix at Whitesummit.
New Ship: ‘‘The Brig’’
The Brig is the newest ship added in this update, since Dark Sea is completely filled with rough waters, a bigger and stronger ship would be needed to travel to the farthest points in there. The Brig can be bought in Ravenna and costs 20,000 Galleons. The brig has 12 cannons on each side, as well as 2 cannons in front, it also has a mortar and can take up to 4 deckhands and 2 quartermasters. The brig has a captain’s cabin too, the cabin has: an aquarium, which players can put fish they’ve caught inside, a bed that allows players to set their spawn inside the brig, a cooking pot, a cauldron, and a jewelcrafting table, a interactable painting, a bounty board and contracts for hunting and some decorations.
Enizor’s new quest
At lvl 125 players will unlock a new quest given by Enizor to upgrade him. It’s currently unknown the requirements to complete the quest but by completing it, players will upgrade Enizor and he’ll change appearance.
So far this is ALL that I remember that’s coming in this new update, I hope you enjoyed it bleh!! Also feel free to correct me or just mention something I may have forgotten about
