i think vetex himself removing it from the lost magics card is pretty credible
Since when is the Lost Magics card credible?
He could have just never added cloud magic to the list in the first place (like heat or ancient lightning) and is deciding for it to be a future lost magic

the story part where you speak to beringer, the brink of death, was completed on june 10, 2022
the lost and ancient magic list was then removed 11 days later on june 21, 2022, without cloud magic ever appearing on it
this means that while beringer had the cloud curse and cloud magic was considered canon, it was never planned to be put into the game available for players. vetex could have of course changed his mind over time, but i believe this is still the best that we have to go off of
I think its possible that magics like flash and cloud aren’t gonna be magics due to them likely being to comparatively “weak” as a concept compared to the others

Are you referring to light making it back as a magic in game? Because light is a base magic 
Base magics as concepts aren’t meant to be as powerful as lost magics, and he’s definitely not adding flash or cloud as base magics, meaning they’d just be weak conceptually as lost magics.
i still think cloud is gonna be a lost magic but we will sea (doesnt make sense why it wouldnt be one if its canonically a magic)
I mean I feel he would still add them just cause they do exist in universe, they just wouldn’t stand out as much as other lost magics but there’s people who probably want them. Plus flash could be pretty cool as possibly the fastest magic or heavy blinding properties
Was the list even still being updated at the time? Pretty sure the list with all the magic interactions hadn’t been updated for a while before it got deleted. Could it not be the same situation here? Heck I’m pretty sure there are a lot of tabs in the trello that are outdated now.
well mud magic and promethean flame magic were removed from it right before the entire list being taken down, so i would say it was
i also think that light would be a worthy candidate for a base of phoenix. After all, it can mutate into life magic, and phoenix also has healing properties
those scrolls are spell scrolls like pulsar, they are not ancient magic exclusive spells

That’s just saying you need spell scrolls in order to use ancient magic as you can’t use any of the base spells for it. Lore doc basically confirms ancient magic comes from using multiple hecate shards at once.
how much you wanna bet that ancient spells are just gonna be overtuned base spells to keep the staples intact
spell tiers were stated before to just be how complex a spell is, not how powerful they are
That just means they don’t have base skills & can only use the rare scrolls you find
I don’t think so, mostly because non ancient spells like cannon are basically already doing that. That said I don’t think there will be too many spell scrolls that are basically just stronger base spells. I think at most there’ll probably be one for aura and maybe leap and beam? I guess snare too depending on how different you consider the grabs to be.
