Let’s say someone mutated their light magic into aether magic. Can that person still use light magic? Or is it replaced by the mutation?
Also is it possible to further mutate your magic from a mutation.

yeah you can mutate your mutation.In the lore those are called supermutations with like less than 3 being documented.
Now im not sure if this is included in the actual lore but in shrek’s comic theos mutated into a supermutation during the battle in which he fought and defeated prometheus.Then he died right after because he couldn’t handle the power from it

Yeah all i literally remember about supermutations is that they rare af and only 3 cases including theos were ever documented.I dont know anything about the other 2 as i got this info from shrek sheeps comic and it should be accurate as im pretty sure he asked tech about the lore

Last I heard Artcurus, the magic Theos has after his fight with Prometheus, is in fact canon to AA, and isn’t like the Equinox Magic user in the webcomic.
when someone mutates their magic they can’t use the original one anymore unless it’s another one of your minds
like when verdies mutated his magic to plasma, while he can now use plasma, he can no longer use whatever magic he mutated it from
when angel mutated her light magic into life magic, she could no longer use light magic from that mind, but she COULD still use light magic because it’s also her third mind and her first mind’s light magic turned into life
it’s also possible to mutate a mutation further, but
- it’s EXTREMELY RARE and
- the sheer power of that mutation can be fatal for an unprepared user
one such example being from theos’ last stand when he mutated his phoenix magic into something that’s basically a mutation between phoenix and magma. i talked to tech about it, he said that VETEX even named it himself but i don’t remember the name so it’s gotta be canon
the power of that magic was too much for an already aged warrior like theos, and he died soon after acquiring it

mutating a mutation is basically combining your current mutation with another existing magic as theos did with magma and phoenix
there’s a ton of combinations like acid and explosion, storm and plasma, aether lightning is also one of these combinations too with vetex’s custom
