Please add a new ability to Noble thunderspeak because this thing is MID and here are the reasons why
1.Shares the same skills as the Triasta except for Ethreal Flash
2.The 1 unique skill is a skill that many spears have which is called spear throw
3.Even though it has lower stat requirments than the Triasta this will eventually be out classed by it in future updates which will make the level cap increase letting other stat builds use it
4.This is a RARE weapon not literally rare to get but it is a RARE rarity weapon so it should have atleast 1 unique skill Suggestions
Give the Noble spear some special properties on it for example it can paralyze targets that are soaked without imbuements
Or BUFF the damage of this thing since Cultist staff does a bit more on the E skill and it is bigger Yes the Spear throw is getting buffed but atleast give it something unique that makes is different from the Triasta

Idk man but maybe Vetex is planning to add a new skill on it but just put one of the Skills as a placeholder for it but IDK
Honestly I would just buff or rework all spears in general since they feel too similar to the staff (both have a grab and a throw except their keys are swapped and probably some stat differences). If the thunderspear is going to get a unique ability or effect then I think the other Elius weapons should also get it, maybe with a minor nerf to compensate. I would prefer a unique weapon over a weapon with slightly boosted stats, though at higher levels they will probably feel somewhat unique.
âRareâ-tier Weapons (aside from Colossal Weapons) arenât really meant to be unique yet. We donât have the abilities that make them unique, aside from Poison-Tooth Daggerâs passive poison, Sunken Swordâs Rising Tide, Triastaâs Ethereal Flash and Vindicatorâs Crushing Judgement.
Stormcaller, Noble Thunderspear, and the Schimtars of Storm will all likely have at least one unique move that is different from the base moveset of the weapon type.
We can already see this with Sanguineâs fourth ability, Sanguine Storm, which is different from Posion-Tooth Daggerâs fourth ability. These differences of one or two abilities are likely what will differentiate âRareâ weapons from âUncommonâ and âCommonâ weapons, which will likely follow the base weapon typeâs moveset completely.
Yeah, we only have two weapon abilities but most of these will probably be different once we get third abilities/fourth abilities/Ultimate Arts for weapons, which could be a bit.
Also Spearâs getting a pretty nice buff next patch so itâll be a little more useful regardless.
The spear for me at least actually does a tiny amount more damage with spear throw than piercing gale from the staff. The main issue is itâs small hitbox compared to some other ranged abilities.
But an way to the point of this topic, almost entirely of what pristine said was wrong(sorry lmfao)
Rare tier weapons only have a couple things âuniqueâ about them, 1 unique skill, or a status effect, or occasionally both(sunken sword)
The thing regarding boss weapons, according to what Iâve deciphered as a âpatternâ from the 3 bosses that drop weapons, it seems as if only 1 weapon in a set of weapons that drops from a boss will have a âboss skillâ, which also falls under the category of âunique skillsâ
To his point about sanguine, sanguine doesnât have a unique skill, it just replaced anywhere thag âdaggerâ wouldâve been normally. I.e sanguine storm = dagger storm, sanguine throw = dagger throw
The problem of weapons getting outclassed is going to be a persistent âissueâ throughout the entire game, obviously youâll go for the bette option

And now to actually buffing spear throw, weâre definitely gonna be doing that, we most likely wonât be giving it a unique skill or effect or anything, but idk maybe vetex will change his mind, and we are also aware that spear throw and piercing gale share a similar niche, which is also a problem with many other weapons, but you donât see people complaining about that at all

Unless you mean a giant bolt of thunder flashing from the sky and hitting your opponent Iâd say that idea is just lightning conjurer with extra steps.
the spearthrow is basically just a skillshot except itâs a bit too slow for the damage it does
basically every single skillshot is overshadowed by piercing shot in every way, aside from maybe poison tooth dagger since that thing hits way too hard
would be nice to have something special for the spear at least
