kid called unloading at a distance:
what do you mean?
it won’t lag the game at all if it just unloads at a distance like literally every town
Sometimes i get lags even on ship even far away from any island
that’s a game/pc issue
as a very well-versed diver and avid swimmer, there is a sea floor, and it’s surprisingly close to the surface
yeah it’s only 400 studs deep (actually 400.2 but like who cares)
source: cryonical after I asked him and he checked
I want random 568 damage clams on the sea floor!
Randomly generated sea floor that loads in distance of like 250 studs and if further unloads meaning if you want it to unload and load new layout you need to swim back more than half of the way and go back down.
can’t it be generated automatically and randomly?
does it have to be random
Add an option to disable it in menu and its perfect.
AO runs really bad compared to other games, this may make it more laggy.
why does everyone say it would lag more??
just make it unload just like every single town??
mf its the sea floor
the seafloor around the island or boat your on is always gonna be loaded in unless your on circus or somewhere high up
400 studs
There would be no point in putting resources and effort in making life in the ridiculously deep portions of the map in which 90% of the player base wouldn’t bother to look at, just leave the abyssal plains bare and lifeless as they usually are. However, if you want to add life to the seafloors it would be better if it were in shallow waters or around islands in the form of reefs. (e.g. Around Ravenna, Mango or Palo Town).
No, but would you bother making dunes and other things underwater for the whole game and then do the same in next seas? I think randomly generated floor decorations are much easier to do than changing whole game
well yes because it takes like 20 minutes
This would have a minimal impact on a few select players, yet would cause lag-server wide. It also would be time taken away from working on other, more important aspects of the game.
