Aereus Combat [Bronze Legion Fighting Style]

Since the release of arcane odyssey, It has always annoyed me that the only fighting style we have that applies bleed is Iron Leg. The problem with iron leg however is…

IRON LEG IS TOO SLOW FOR MOST PEOPLE TO ENJOY IT

Iron leg is the slowest fighting style we have, and as a result of that it does massive amounts of damage. The main problem with this is that with most builds, it's way too expensive to invest the attack speed required to make it viable. Along with this, It is usually a bad option for heavy magic warlocks, as the imbues make it even slower for usually mediocre benefits to damage and size. If Iron Leg is the Greathammer of Fighting Styles

Then Aereus would have to be the Sword/Spear of Fighting styles
(i havent cooked up an icon yet lol )

THE QUEST/REQUIREMENTS

It requires level 80 to learn, with two TWIN trainers. One of the trainers is located at frostmill, outside the ice mines, the other is located at Ravenna, sitting on one of Rasna’s walls.
THE QUEST
Arm Day
The teacher of Aereus Combat, Remus/Romulus Bronze has asked you to destroy 10 rocks to learn the fighting style.
Costs 200 Galleons to learn

THE GIMMICK

Aereus Combat’s is based on what the Ravenna Legion designed to be used by warriors if they dropped their weapon during battle. It is based on hardening your arm and hands into weapons, that at high skill level are capable of piercing armor akin to a spear or sword. It’s gimmick is that it takes time for your hands to harden, so you need to land hits first, similar to hammering a piece of metal until it is a sharp point. If you leave combat, your toughness meter will reset (we never run fr)
The visual for Aereus isn’t immediately visible, but as your toughness goes up, your hands will start to turn shiny orange and a metaphysical bladewill begin protruding from your knuckles.

THE STATS

SIZE

1.0-0.875 Size, higher end is no sharpness (still blunt)

SPEED

1.25

DAMAGE

0.8 + 0.225 (Bleed Damage) 1.025
There will be NO Bleed damage until you have reached max sharpness, when your hands have orange glowing blades manifesting from your energy

Reason to add/change

It adds more variety to the fighting style selection, along with being a second option for bleed synergies and slow magic warlocks. It also means berserker ravenna centurions can be a thing (yay!!)
feedback welcome obviously

According to patch notes, Basic Combat applies bleed if it deals a high percentage of damage in one attack.

But anyway, this is a cool suggestion, I like the idea.

Remus and Romulus are already the names of some AA characters.

Basically if someone decided to merge Thermo Fist and Iron Leg…

seems good enough i would replace iron leg with it for my berserker because iron leg is mid and only good for heavy damage
also i think instead of it getting set to 0 out of combat right away, it should go down unavoidably at 2x-3x the speed of thermo out of combat so that if you’re fighting and game does an oopsie and puts you out of combat for a second, you don’t lose all your progress on the bar

Pretty cool, even though Ravenna Personnel doesn’t use FS at all

That’s because of limb loss, though. May as well say that Snow Magic causes Bleeding too.

I like the idea, especially since it would explain why Ravenna enemies never use Fighting Styles, but I feel like the idea of having twin trainers on opposite sides of the map is kind of pointless when they give the same quest. It’s also similar in concept to Knocking Fist on the trello’s Fighting Style Types card, but KF will probably have higher damage per hit, while AC doesn’t until you reach Bleeding.

Also Remus and Romulus were Fighting Style mentors in Arcane Adventures (Remus = Magic Fist, Romulus = Cannon Fist), but somebody else already pointed that out.

Oh, really? I didn’t know that.

It causes bleed with attacks that deal 33% of an opponent’s hp, a similar threshold to earth magic

This is basically boxing with bleed, I’d say change the stats up a bit

it seriously breaks my heart seein all these cool fighting style suggestions u ppl put so much effort in2 knowin theyre never gonna happen
