Whether or not it affects member count doesn’t matter to me. Many players enjoy cycling through different files, especially in an era where each slot has so little to offer in terms of customization and content post-level cap. Feeling tethered to the file that owns your guild, or is a member of your main (or only) guild is not a good feeling.
It’s fine to have a main, but I think this change would do no harm and would make a ton of people happy. I can’t really understand the sentiment of this being harmful, which I’ve seen echoed here a few times. It causes no harm and massively improves the experience for players such as myself.
As far as I am aware, Vetex has never been in direct opposition of this. The fix on it during the first week of Arcane Odyssey was simply because it was classified as a bug, rather than a feature, as it affected member count invisibly and lead to some issues with guilds reaching their maximum member count but not showing up as such.
All of my other files are just in bank guilds as it stands, as my focus remains on operating and repping my own guild. When my guild file is a Paladin, having to play an incomplete class just to gain infamy and participate in other guild activities is simply unfun.
For any of you who don’t agree, I’d like to see an honest discussion on why this change would be a net negative. I’m open to all opinions, concurring or dissenting.
I think to make it okay, adding another file won’t add to the cap, considering you can only use one person per Roblox Account, so its not like you will be able to use all your files for clan purposes at once.
Maybe people with numerous files get an expandable tab in the member list showing their combined stats (money deposited, % of contribution, etc.) from all the files in that specific clan, and then when expanded, it shows their separate file names and their stats.
so my idea for this would be a popup if any of your other saves are in a clan
when you reach level 50 it would ask you “would you like to join a clan your other save(s) is/are in”
Yes/No (if you select Yes it lets you pick one if you have mutiple clans, or it just picks one that your other save has) if no then nothing happens
