An update to fighting styles

So, an interesting yet not completely unexpected change took place on the Fighting Styles card in the trello yesterday. As mentioned in my previous topic, someone on twitter suggestion fighting style evolution and Vetex seemed to take a liking to that idea. Today when I checked the trello, I realized the ancient fighting styles section was removed and instead replaced with the highlighted text. “Both Common and Lost Fighting Styles will be upgradeable by 1 tier in some way to improve them even further.”

Does this mean that base fighting styles will evolve into losts, and losts into ancients? What process will we need to go through to evolve our fighting style; will it be RNG based (“this rare scroll has the instructions to evolve your fighting style”) like lost magic and legendary weapons, or will it be quest-based like mutating in AA? Will each fighting style have 1 path for progression, or multiple that branch into different specialties? I’m looking forward to finding out the answers to these questions in the future.

Im so excited to see how these expand, I think making the fighting style youve played your game with stay with you and just become stronger is so much cooler of a concept

wonder what upgrades for styles such as cannon or vampirism could be
would love to see what base combat upgrade is though

as said before, upgrading styles helps to make them feel more unique to your playstyle, in the sense that you can improve upon the aspects of a playstyle you like to specialize it, rather than having to go onto a wiki, finding a lost/ancient magic that suits your playstyle, and then going through a long process of scroll hunting and trading to get the magic or style you want
obv this doesn’t completely fix the issue, as higher tier magics are still scroll based, along with base lost styles, but it helps with it

now this entire paragraph could be complete bs because I have no clue how this’ll be implemented, but two or more upgrades per style would be sick, albeit a lot of work.
