Imma agree with you due to my inferior knowledge of fantasy.
well⌠DnD DID inspire a lot of stuff⌠but its mostly from fantasy stories
DnD also standardized a lot of things. For example, there were a bunch of different interpretations for mythical creatures such as orcs. DnDâs description of a large, green, dumb humanoid kind of stuck after DnD became so popular.
Beholders were also started in DnD i believe. Fun fact: Death kiss is related to beholders
For Life Magic, how about a Ladybug?
