if you master timing correctly, solid jumps are some of the funnest things in AO.

true that acid has better synergies but glass panes deal damage like puddles and glass can inflict bleed to synergies with magics that get boosted by bleed as well. still not as good as acid in that sense though so i suppose acid could be better

yeah i main it as well but even with dot being bad rn it might be fixed in ao with the regen nerf. still doesn’t make it completely effective though because spells hit before it wears off don’t do full potential. tldr plasma isn’t great but it’s good enough to pass

former plasma main here, it used to deal so much damage
it does not deal so much damage anymore, second lowest base damage (poison has the lowest)

I cannot, for the life of me, conjure any specific plasma-only tips that would be worth mentioning. It’s just another heat-based magic. Look at how fast it is to get an idea of how to land shots. Play it like you would fire, shadow, etc. The only magic(s) that require a different play style, arguably, are slow magics (gold, iron, earth). Good luck on this file though, plasma is a common magic for new players but I rarely see anyone who knows about the game well enough and actively tries to main plasma.

tldr; I got nothing specific for plasma, it ain’t that special, side from being pretty mid. Use it like you would use any magic with similar speed.

personally i like plasma’s effects, since they look very smooth

Ive been in multiple guild wars. Plasma users almost always die first. Plasma users are just meat shield their magic is so bad

Better alternative will always be fire. Plasma just feels like a nerfed fire

some lost spells could be more viable with plasma than fire
