I feel like there’s nothing stopping the same thing from happening but without the player character fighting Lord Elius.
Something else could happen, but something else doesn’t have to happen.
Well the point of this thread is hypotheticals that majorly change things, instantly assuming the closest possible timeline to canon defeats the purpose
Sure. What do you think will happen?
what if morden gave you a big long sloppy smooch instead of abandoning you in fort talos
Calvus gets the death curse and we die
Player doesn’t find out about the order of Aesir, but still finds iris, since that’s what they originally went there to do. The story instead focuses on iris attempting to find her father, inevitably meeting with morden again and still going to Ravenna and defeating king calvus, but with 0 knowledge of the order. Nimbus storyline probably proceeds the same, but I cant say beyond that
Does he know?
Calvus gets the Death Curse and kills himself on accident.
i feel like you still wouldve learned more about the order, morden saw their ships as he mentioned in sailors lodge and did make some connection saying he recognized the emblem
most likely you wouldve investigated them with morden, or theyd have a larger presence on ravenna than in the actual story (if elius is there, at least)
its implied that beringer was in the sky, so id imagine elius wouldnt have been there in the first place if the order didnt care about killing beringer
That was calvus sailing up to get the death curse right iirc right?
Calvus doesn’t know about the death curse here, so morden doesn’t see the ships
from mordens sailors lodge dialog: “They were going south from the Stepstones when I last saw them, towards Fort Talos. I decided to follow them because I saw a symbol on their ship that seemed oddly… familiar to me.”
seems like they were the group that captured beringer, not calvus, so while youre not right here it does have the same outcome of morden not seeing those ships
most likely in this scenario wed only begin to learn about the order once were at ravenna, and wed skip over fort talos because thered be no suspicion towards it yet
I mean I guess if Morden leaves after the big long smooch he could still get there before Calvus, depends on how long that smooch is really.
it better be a damn long smooch
after morden gets the death curse his breath probably smells like dead fish and pure rot, theres a reason he wears a mask and i am not smooching him after that so im making the last one count
Beringer doesn’t tell anyone about the death curse in this timeline
what if : a GN platoon with acid arcanium rifles raided whitesummit
We’re talking about a different what if
One where Morden gives the MC a big long fat smooch at Fort Talos instead of ditching us to get the death curse
Oh mb it’s hard to keep track
morden fucking dies
he has shown us no other power than the death curse (which he dont have)
Well if they win the leadership of the AS in the area is arrested and assassin activities in the Bronze Sea either see a sharp decrease or end entirely. If they lose chances are all the criminals and AS leadership there still vacate the area as it’s way too risky to stick around when the Navy knows where they are and has shown they want to take them out. Don’t know if the AS will find a new base in the Bronze Sea or just move out entirely, but either way assassin activity in the Bronze Sea is still gonna decrease a bit.
Well he had some magic that we never got to see, but yeah he still dies, he’s no match for Julian . The MC and Neviro definitely aren’t beating Calvus with the Death Curse even if he’s a noob with it.
i believe he was confirmed to have shadow magic, hes also similarly special to the player considering he was experimented on in the same way as the player, presumably even together at the same time considering he previously knew them
edit: looking for proof i found this post from me a year ago, but i never gave proof and i dont remember asking that so dont take it 100%, id have no reason to have lied though
