this analogy makes no sense, there was never any set deadline for the game to release, and

its releasing as early access for a reason… obviously there will be parts of the game that are missing or not as indepth as others

this is hilariously wrong because I listen to pretty much any feedback testers give. If this is about me not listening to forumer feedback then yeah obviously, I know the vision for my game and you guys don’t so I’m not gonna listen to people who haven’t played

again a very poor analogy, this is basically saying “vetex should have worked on awakenings and lost spells before the end of the story” which makes no sense development wise, obviously the more endgame things had to wait until near the end of development

I don’t really see what this means, besides world of magic which was obviously rushed out due to money issues, all of my other similar games were the top of the platform for their time, and arcane adventures even has more gameplay features than most current games do

funny analogy overall but most parts don’t make sense

except its not flawed, this combat style has been proven to work and it gets better with each game I make (besides wom obviously since the game was so unfinished)

if you don’t like a combat style thats personal preference, not a flaw in the game itself, especially when thousands of others disagree and like the combat

the combat style mimics that of blox fruits based on the handful of videos provided
however, yeah fine, the combat style works but that doesn’t mean its good. Shindo life and blox fruits pvp works, but does that make it good? not really, it’s still really flawed and a lot of people dislike the games for that reason. If you truly want to expand the game into something far superior to AA, then you also need to expand on its PVP

also rq, WOM pvp wasn’t entirely different from AA pvp, it still followed the same idea of T-jump into Q blast into horn (or in WOMs case, sunken sword/minotaur axe/the exiled sword), yet it failed. So either something got messed up in the transition to WOM, or the community has evolved and dislikes the AA style of PVP

this is a combat style ive used for a decade so if it mimics blox fruits thats not really relevant

you haven’t played the game so you wouldn’t know how good the pvp is just by watching some videos, and as for expanding on the pvp, I obviously have. People act like I literally ported my exact combat from previous games like no dude obviously things have changed and improved, and will continue to improve over time

I don’t think you read the post you were replying to, I’ve stated numerous times world of magic was rushed release due to money issues, and it was NOWHERE NEAR considered a finalized game. Hell, you can’t even DODGE attacks in that game. Partially its my fault for not labelling the game as “early access” or something, but don’t try to judge the game like it was in any kind of finalized or completed state when its insanely obvious it wasnt

I guess you weren’t around for AA then because even in its early and super basic stages the game still averaged like 5k players, which was great for that time. Don’t speak on the community’s likes and dislikes just because you personally don’t like something

Like I said in the discord a while ago, 90% of people will like this game’s combat if you give it a try and get used to it, hating on something for being different and seeing a handful of clips without playing the game, and then completely trashing on it without giving it a chance, is extremely close minded

According to this thread, if the combat isn’t a direct copy of what’s already popular i.e parries/combos/hitstuns/M1’s, then it’s “bad”

the addition of more and more weapons/fighting styles for more options in PVP isn’t really improving anything, it’s just adding on more junk to something.
You’re adding more and more without fixing the problem of the original

I believe this next thing directly contradicts your statement of “yeah im gonna improve it”
also again, I don’t care if there were only 3 offensive spell types, the lack of variety is bad, but that’s not the main issue, it’s the abhorrent style of PVP where no matter how much variety you add, it’ll still be the same. T-jump → Q blast → pick a weapon or spell of your choosing. Giving a guy a blue stick instead of a red stick doesn’t improve PVP.

that doesn’t mean I can’t criticize it at all, who cares if it isn’t finished, even if you had titled the game as “early access”, I would’ve still criticized it the same, hell I would’ve probably criticized it more because criticism leads to a more polished game.

I was, and yeah it did, but for like 75% of the game’s lifespan, it averaged around 100 - 300.

it isn’t different though, it’s something I experienced in WOM for roughly a year, and in AA for almost five years. You’re keeping the same aspects into the game but adding more and more weapons hoping it’ll fix the issue that every fight is the same and boring as fuck. You refuse to look at the fact that every fight follows the same route.

except it is, by adding more variety and skill types it adds more depth to the combat and things you can do during fights

except T jump → Q blast isnt all the combat is anymore, with more variety in skills it adds much more variety in what you can do, such as grabs and other movement abilities. You’re confusing lack of content with a combat style being bad.

The reason why combat was so bad in previous games is because of lack of skill types, not because of the style itself. If the combat in this game was the same as WOM/AA you’d hear testers complaining about it non stop. The testers all agree the combat is fire and way better than Wom/AA, so if you don’t trust them and still want to hate on something you haven’t tried, then ok I guess

yeah so ironic that I won’t change my whole combat style because of a vocal minority of people who don’t want to give it a shot. You definitely know how to make a game better than someone whose been doing it for 12 years, I’m sure
