when was this said
guess it was never confirmed
I mean I doubt vetex wouldn’t add a sunken trident weapon
Magic Armament: Lost Spell
When used the spell would take a portion of your magic energy to create a purely magic weapon that applys magic status effects. This would effectively give you an M1 for magic that scales solely off of magic (think Hero Sword from Deepwoken). The weapon would dissipate after sometime but pressing the hotkey again would disable it immediately. There would be different lost spells for different forms of weapons.
ex.
Magic Armament: Sword
Magic Armament: Greatsword
Magic Armament: Hammer
Dual Magic Armament: Ancient Lost Spell
This would be a stronger version but more taxing version of Magic Armament. However, the user would need two first have acquired two Magic Armament: Lost Spells and activate them before being able to use this spell. Activating this spell would erase the other two spells and combine them into one. The user could hypothetically have two different magic armament types like a magic sword and magic hammer. They could even have two different magic weapons like a fire and plasma sword or a water sword and ice hammer.
Exotic Strength Weapon: Gauntlets of Shanna
The chosen weapon of an ancient gladiator who died fighting a powerful kingdom. It is fabled that he died standing, with an enemy general dead in his grip.
This weapon would have the unique property of directly using your primary fighting style and scale entirely on strength (and maybe scale off magic if youre a warlock). However, it would replace two of your custom techniques with two unique moves (these moves would have your fighting style effects as well). You would of course be able to choose what moves get replaced.
Unique Skill 1: Gut Shot
A very short range static grab (you would not dash or get any type of movement with this grab, think of it as an m1) where the user would grab the target by the head, then let them go dropping them into a critical punch in the chest. To make up for the lack of range, the damage would be incredibly high and taking 3 those in a row cause you to vomit blood once (think insanity 2 effect) before resetting the counter. If you whiff this skill, you would be stuck in place for a while, giving your opponent a decent punish window.
Unique Skill 2: Grand Vault
The user would do a short animation, seemingly charging the gauntlets. This would slightly increase your damage for 15 seconds. pressing the hotkey again would let you do a quick dash in the direction of your cursor. You would be able to cancel the dash with Gut Shot and other fstyle techniques. However if you whiff Gut Shot using the dash, your normal punish window is doubled.
But what if you’re a conjurer?
infuse the magic with weapon
Youre better off just using a regular magic imbued weapon since this lost spell only scales off magic. It’s more to give pure mages and paladins an m1 close range option.
Someone told me to post this here, so…
Idea:
Chaos Curse.
Description:
The Chaos Curse is an external curse that allows the user to make any event that will happen a significant event, which, by comical butterfly effect hi-jinx radically alters the future. The curse cannot be used until the butterfly effect stops. The catch is that the way in which the significant event plays out does not necessarily need to be to the user’s advantage, and the only limit to the butterfly effect’s effect (??) is that the user cannot die while things are spiralling out of control (since their power is active at that time). Furthermore, the user can be certain that the future will be changed dramatically, but cannot be sure how exactly it will be changed. Lastly, the user cannot choose an event that results in their death or that won’t actually happen. The user must take an educated guess as to whether the event will happen or not.
Note that the butterfly effect stopping doesn’t necessarily mean that everything return backs to normal. It just means that stupid shit stops happening. The results of the stupid shit that already happened remain.
If the user were fighting a fire mage, for instance, and had a massive fire ball shot in their direction, they could wager that the fireball will hit them but won’t kill them. Assuming this is actually true, they could preemptively make this a significant event and somehow create a mass extinction event, or somehow have their opponent die of a heart attack. All that matters is that, while the butterfly effect is happening, they absolutely cannot die.

External curse idea: Soul curse
Description: A powerful curse that bends a part of the user’s soul into an attacking force.
damage: 1.4x
speed: 1.1x
aoe: .975x
The soul curse drains a part of the users soul, splitting the user’s life force in half. In exchange however, its extremely powerful attacks drain the opponents soul to regain lost life.
i’ll just do external curse ideas since they seem to be what i’m best at
1.6x is incredibly high damage man
that i know, i feel like halved health balances it out though
changed it to 1.4x, should be a bit more balanced now
honestly it would be pretty sick to put some of these ideas together in a sandbox type game to mess around in.
Sure !
The game would crash in like 2 second
eh i doubt it unless there ended up being 100s of magics/curses
It’s allready the case
