Don’t be sorry! Answering these questions helps me develop the AU further and challenges me to find ways to integrate the situation into the original media. I am so happy you and so many others are contributing and taking interest.
It was a gradual loss, and as soon as the navies realized that this wasn’t going to work out, they agreed to a ceasefire and only assisted each other out of necessity, as they all had to conserve their resources.
Currently, The Grand Navy is the strongest out of the three human navies, followed by the Syndicate then closely by Ravenna. With their king and one of their Generals MIA, they have been crumbling.
But ofc, this isn’t solely my AU, and if you have any suggestions on this topic alone, pls feel free to provide your thoughts!
Maybe the atlanteans would avoid Akursius on instinct since it already emanates insanity. And since the insanity level is fixed, someone might be able to stick around there just dealing with minor hallucinations.
Also, I think there could be survivors on Mount Othrys even though it’s close to the Dark Sea border. It’s a big island so there could be a lot of hiding places.
Atlanteans rely on instinct and only care about surviving, so it’d make sense for them to just leave after roaming the island and not finding any food. You could also fish in the lake (since in AO every body of water is thriving with fish).
Yeah, it seems like it is, as this is a new environment for the Atlanteans (they are sometimes found in ruins in the Dark Sea islands, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some took shelter at Akursius due to instinct). They won’t stay for long though, and would soon go on the hunt for food again. Their abilities to travel at high speeds throughout the water doesn’t make these stops an issue.
As for Othrys, in the same aforementioned topic the mountain does provide a very secure place for survivors, however the base of the mountain is teeming with Atlanteans and their ships.
Would skyships be a viable method of transportation at this point? I can imagine it being used as a way to get food, too. Or did something happen to the skyships as well?
If the island is close enough, skyships could be used to get more people onto the sky islands.
And assuming Cirrus inhabitants use the skyships to get food, they would have more time to try and improve the skyship themselves. Maybe make the storage last longer, make the ship a bit more durable?
Thanks, I was a little worried that my ideas fell a little too far from the horror part and might’ve detracted from it but I’m glad its no bother
Anyways I did want to ask if any of the atlanteans had lost or ancient magics in this AU cause either one, especially ancient magics, would probably decimate the vast majority of fighters in the bronze sea. Even curse users would not be too excited to get ganked by those guys if they do exist.
Yes! The people of Cirrus have the advantage of staying high and far away from the threat, so they run a refuge up there for survivors who manage to make it up the Stepstones. Their ships unfortunately aren’t advanced enough to descend to sea level in order to conduct rescues, but they do airdrop resources occasionally.
