3 days later, Savaria
~Pax’s POV~
I look at the letter in shock. Theos’ familiar handwriting fills the page.
“Can I see?” Will asks. I hand the letter to him. “Mind if I read it out loud.”
“No,” I say. “Not at all.”
He looks at the letter and begins to read it.
“Dear Pax,” he begins.
“I heard about your deeds through the news. I would like to meet you at the Borealis Shipwreck in the 2nd Sea. Bring your friend along with you. I would like to meet him as well. I will wait as long as it takes for you to reach your destination. May you have an arcane adventure.

“Theos the War Phoenix”
“Holy shit,” Will whispers. “Do you realize how big this is?”
“Yeah yeah,” I respond dryly. “How’s your head.”
“It’s good. Nothing permanent.”
“Great.”
After I beat Veridies, Alex and Castor took us back to the town. We turned Veridies in to the authorities and went back to Savaria. Alex, Castor, Avery, and Arianna left within the hour to who knows where, leaving us 2 to get Veridies’ bounty. We spent it on a caravel and some better armor for me, as well as some extra supplies and some additions to our new ship.
“Well,” says Will. “We were going to start taking commissions for the 2nd Sea anyway. I wonder what Theos’ wants to talk to you about?”
“I wish I knew,” I respond. “I have some questions for him as well.”
“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go and get ready. When do you want to leave?”
I think about it for a few moments, looking out at the sky blue horizon.
“Does tomorrow work?” I ask.
Will grins.
“What time?”
I grin back.
“Noon.”
“Alright then. Let’s get started. The 2nd Sea here we come.”
