how good could that go?
vetex’s only valid reasoning behind not wanting a full dev team is that “they’d ruin his view”
but with anyone being able to code anything they want and do pull requests, vetex would still have full control of the game’s directions and at the same time have a dev team
the only problem that could come with this would be people trying to steal the AO code, but that can be fixed with a single lawyer making Arcane Odyssey and its code Vetex (and tech ig)'s IP
There’s probably a lot that people would get away with stealing, but that’s not so bad.
As for the good parts, it’d mean I can make Scorch Magic, and Vetex can be like “homie, this looks good.” and then he can use it, and then Scorch Magic gets to have black accents because it would look sick.
good news, its one of the base attunements you get from the start
unless that weird unexplainable thing happens where you only start with one attunement, which I’ve seen happen to others but also isn’t how it normally starts as I still see people getting all 4 of the base ones
I mean, Roblox said something about allowing Ai to train off users’ games, so for all we know, it’s already “open source” in that Roblox is straight up stealing scripts…
it means that your code is accessible to anyone for free. code that developers make on Roblox cannot be accessed by everyone unless you uncopylock your game.
Also, Roblox does have the copyright of any games made on its platform (which is an often overlooked part of the ToS), so they are entirely within their right to do that.
Also also, complaining about Roblox’s autocomplete AI is very funny because the bot is so ass and is barely functional. It just outs you as someone who has never developed a Roblox game before.
I’m referring to the Ai Roblox proposed to use a while back to analyze popular games and copy scripts from them. Not the autocomplete Ai—I am not a dev, so you’re right in that I don’t know anything about actual development. I never claimed to be a dev, only someone who has an interest in the health of Roblox as a consumer.
