We are but your opinions are consistently pretty dookie ![]()
which is the exact opposite of what i’m doing so i don’t know why you bring it up in the first place!
Well it’s not directed at you then.
then why reply to me specifically?
Brrrrr skibidi boppity bop yes yes
Dear individuals, this thread is getting locked up in 11 minutes if this continues and i think we know that very well
Cause you replied to me too, I was explaining in response to your warrant for an explanation.
ooh that too, like how people can dehumanize others so easily when it comes to something like war or intoxicated by certain emotions (iris killing ravenna soldiers thinking that they are all evil without realizing that those she has killed could have just been normal people with normal lives and had families like her too for example)
man i can’t even voice my opinion and explain it to people when they seem to not understand what i meant originally.
The idea of having gods and dragons (beings with different frameworks of morality and ideology) to humans would help add more dimension to this as well
But unfortunately all the gods have been reduced to stat sticks for oracle and dragons are all going to be ontologically evil monsters that serve no other purpose than being slaughter fodder for the player
my final thoughts I want to leave with is that at least with vetex handling things the way he is, he makes me want to write better and more so I can expand arcane odyssey’s story into what it could have been
obligatory potential game joke here euhueehruheuhruh
The take itself is great, but unfortunately it could be said that the attack came in “self defense”.
It’s very hard in general to find any moral greyness in the whole story because most people we kill are participating in the “Evil Hitler Reincarnation Ritual Klub, Who Kidnap Orphans Off The Street”

i’m criticizing from a place of love and bringing up stuff that could maybe help improve the story instead of just ragging on vetex being the antichrist so i think its unlikely
Loving ☆Constructive criticism
most people here seem to be the same too
Stop going off on a tangent, it’s going to get the topic locked faster.
It really should’ve been a plot-point, as she is portrayed as a rather stupid rage-filled girl wanting revenge, without really thinking on the consequences.
At least it could’ve made her story broader, instead of just… killing Calvus.
I don’t exactly expect the game to have undertale levels of complex morality, but can we at least not have your bounty with a single faction determine whether or not it’s implied that you kill Evander when you beat him?
They also spend so much time on things that the player simply doesn’t, it took months for them to build skyhall just for us to be there for only an hour, that time could’ve been spent on performance and replayability
The game has a rather odd tendency to “cheapen” the impact of death by making characters fit into archetypes rather than feel like actual people we just killed, which, could be a really awesome concept if AO was more meta narratively, but AO isn’t anything narratively so it just comes off as lazy
And then there’s just the lack of communication with the community (and when there is its almost always hostile) I feel people would complain less if the dev and balance teams were more transparent with what they were doing
Every time after dropping an update, Vetex says that NOW he will focus on expanding the story, but instead he goes back on that and adds some bullshit nobody asked for (Dragons for example, why add them now??? Didn’t you plan to have an update dedicated to the dark sea in the future???)
