I feel like bounty and fame should lean further away from pvp.
I just want to get deckhands, not get chased by a bunch of toxic edgelords that I’m near certain are using ESP to find me.

The bounty board did not tell them I was on a completely different clan’s ship in the middle of the ocean, it also did not tell them I was inside of a previously destroyed building to go afk.

On that note, sensing should not be added because it’ll completely remove stealth from the game, as somebody who does not play this game for pvp (I do not enjoy pvp in this style at all), I’d like to be able to avoid it by breaking line of sight without having somebody tear that entire plan apart with 2 buttons.

Falling off sky islands sucks.

They aren’t that bad unless they have guns (undodgable bullets + grab spam)

You can filter by server age, region, player count, etc

Deckhands really need a reduced requirement
No way anybody’s getting one without several hours of grinding fame or bounty

Silverhold is the most annoying place to fight another player. Not only is there a bunch of places to run and hide if you get low, the NPCs can be cheesed easily due to the island’s layout.

Whitesummit is second place because most people being hunted just camp Merlot.

Apparently a hot take due to how many people defend the game with this: Just because it is in Early Access, doesn’t mean we can’t critque and analyze the good and bad in the game.

pretty sure critique is actually more helpful in early access too since it’s kinda like a giant public testing where players can share and discuss what should change for the devs to fix in later updates and versions of the game. :+1:

Like for example, Elius is unnecessarily hard for the intended level you’re meant to fight him and his arena is way too buggy and small to fight on. I think he needs a nerf. The most reasonable would be making the arena indestructible + removing his regen completely in the first phase and weakening it in stage 2. I understand he’s a skill check but that’s not an excuse to cover up the glaring issues in his boss battle.

just make it so he can’t dash away in the middle of moves

Imagine if you could only break it at higher levels, meaning you would get an extra challenge in the battle later on. Maybe good, maybe bad

at higher levels you probably wouldn’t need to fight elius since there would be better drops from other higher tier bosses tho

Especially since he is the boss after Iris, who is even easier than Shura

I haven’t even brought up how argos and carina are easier than him

The boss difficulty scaling, is pretty janky in AO sadly.

hmmm, not my opinion but it’s that you should be able to aim your cannons from side to side when driving your ship

another one was being able to micromanage the aim of each cannon instead of firing them all at once
