I simply don’t know what to do in this game. The game world is too small. The quests are just “fetch-and-carry” tasks. Why couldn’t they have added some interesting mini-games—anything, really—to add some variety to the gameplay? Exploring structures loses its point once you’ve got what you need. What is there to do in the game after you’ve got the best build and tried out all the magic? Why is the fleet just a set of numbers in a menu for grinding? Why does every process in the game boil down to the same repetitive grind? Why are mechanics that could have been so much better implemented in such a simplistic, cookie-cutter way? (Resource growth, earning currency for the clan and yourself, gear, etc.)
Why are the largest islands (Nimbus Heavens) completely empty? Why aren’t there any animals there?
What exactly is the problem with adding something other than progression?
The game’s feature-creep incarnate; throw systems at the wall to see what sticks. It’s not changing either, the game is in full release, this will be the core loop for the rest of the approximately 40 chapters of story.
I can see the CCU[1] to be below 500 within the remainder of this year of the first quarter of 2027.

All that remains is to resign oneself.
it’s minecraft but without the fun
If theres nothing to do then wait until next update and play something else in the meantime I guess, thats what people usually do
In my opinion, it was supposed to win through “alive world”, but things that would make it “alive” ended up being extremely cut or half-implemented due to sheer tons of dynamic processes and programming required. It is too ambitious to work on alone and it is hard to maintain stable on roblox.
I think in current state of the game it needs a lot of optimization and balance fixes. Not only because those are ones of the biggest issues game has, but because everything else requires a long tedious work which you cannot do while being choked by things I stated above.
unfortunately Vetex has glue, duct tape and a hammer with nails and refuses to remove what is universally hated
except he bought dollar store versions of each so the glue fails to harden, the duct tape has both sides non-stick and the hammer is a toy edition.
If it’s a PvE-focused MMORPG and it’s unplayable without updates, that’s very strange.
And anything he manages to crucify dies anyways due to nature of crucifixion
Anything that requires an update to be playable is objectively a dying game, as seen by when a developer takes a break, it becomes frozen in time.
Arcane Odyssey requires a mass-rework to introduce a proper gameplay loop to allow the developers to eventually have a break without the gameplay becoming stale immediately.
We need TGR 2.0 if Arcane Odyssey is to survive.
What? It is playable. What I’m pointing out is that people eventually get bored after a long time of playing a specific game and wait until the next update to introduce new content. This is very normal
How many of these topics do we need? I get the game is dry but damn, I see a new topic with the same people in the replies about this ever other day
Ong bro like either the game’s gonna die or it won’t can we stop making new posts about it every 5 minutes
Is there a soul in the AO forum that likes AO?
Jokes aside I do get these grievances, unfortunately a lot of the major issues are directly tied into the game and would require massive changes to get rid of and Vetex afaik doesn’t really like changing things once they’re added.
How many fucking topic did yall literally have to made about same things
i haven’t play AO in a while because THERE IS NOTHING INTERESTING TO FUCKING DO RIGHT NOW
he will cave in eventually
You underestimate his stubbornness
