that’s fair , options being left behind sucks but I just feel like shockwave smash really just does not work with either FS playstyle (rushdown vs 400 damage american sniper) and I think it’d need a rework to really make it viable
DOES HE KNOW?
Yeah that would be a pretty cold replacement for the damage reduc. I’d argue they should probably exist alongside each other cuz of stuff like using self-AoEs and in the case of PvE stuff like Calvus’ blasts or m1 spam.
Gut size by 50% or at least 25% its so dumb. This is for everything in the game not just aoe spam mages.
And fighting styles are best at zoning rn because of shot and axe kick being op. Their entire kit is based around being close ranged, but every other build does close ranged better than fighting styles lol.
right, but the future is a pretty nebulous concept. it isn’t happened yet and even if we go based off the trello it’s very likely subject to change, so why are we complaining already now, in the present?
idk, i just found it weird that people were already looking forward to find things to complain about.
The damage is still increased no? Go for a mixed attack size and intensity build.
For a close range style the shot skill really is the bread and butter of the style.
Trading damage for CC is not a good trade by any means. Having high damage is much more important. Besides, if you want CC you are better off using something that deals damage with said CC like poison or ash.
Besides, ‘‘all same interactions’’. Snow has 10% damage on soaked targets and ice has 25% and has bonus to bleeding opponents which already makes it better at least for classes like conjurer and warlock. One of snow’s interactions is more damage to freezing opponents which requires you to already be using ice. Oh and are we gonna ignore the fact it deals considerably less damage to frozen opponents unlike ice which gets a buff instead?
Oh and not to mention the awful clashes snow has where the only advantage it has is over magics that are bad at clashing to begin with.
can you guys make shot the first strength spell
this shits just literally untested 100% early game fighting styles.
somehow iris is killing me, maybe because I can’t hit her with my build and my wind blasts get clashed out of existence by her spam
like I know there’s a lot to test, but iris is actually not possible rn
my blasts do 6 damage and going up close (using my actual build) is just death
saying to gut size like that is crazy
you need to find the core root of the issue and fix it then just be a pain to aim everything. we’re onto something for how to nerf size so yeah
well if this game is going to be anywhere near the size of the original AA theres going to be multiple seas. this is literally just the beginning and people are having attacks with the AOEs of towns. if AOE stays the same i can only imagine that we’ll be having island sized ultimate attacks when we lvl 300-400.
remember how aoe scales not linearly? eventually we’ll get to a point where it stops scaling as well. aoe is inevitably gonna be really high on top of this regardless of whats done now.
a nerf by 50% would literally make people complain about aiming being too prevalent with our movement. you need to find a better solution that makes aoe less of an issue without gutting it
Then go Sand if you prefer damage. It’s really just that simple.
No. All status interactions that aren’t clears are capped at 10%. The Trello has not been updated to reflect this.
You could always get some gear to amp yourself a bit, or get a couple of levels and just m1 her like I did (literally just need around 250-300 HP).
M1 strat helps if you don’t run from every attack that already hit you
unless it’s piecewise you’re going to be forced to redo that equation eventually, better do it preemptively rather than after it causes issues with the game
anyway i propose magic size scaling be square rooted on top of it’s current scaling, and then have appropriate nerfs for mages be implemented on top of that
Extend combat tags from players specifically by a bit to discourage combat logging, and maybe try having it so that players that are in combat with each other generate invisible markers for each other, and if one party is detected to constantly be opening distance between them it increases their stamina usage? Honestly I can already tell that doesn’t sound exactly doable but that’s all I can think of right now.
Never knew about that, just started checking this site out, do you know if its written anywhere that I can check out?
All actual interactions between status effects on the Trello haven’t been changed, aside from interactions that cause the ‘Scald’ status not having been added as of yet.
Any positive damage interaction above 10% has been capped at 10% increased damage. Any positive damage interaction that ‘clears’ a status (such as Earth breaking someone out of the Frozen status) is capped at 20% increased damage.
Here’s the Trello link if you need it.
Sorry, I don’t think you’re lying or anything, I just want to know where it says that if the Trello doesn’t. I chose lightning + ice, was gonna get water last, but if that’s the only change then my build should still be fine I think. Is most of the info on the Trello outdated right now?
It’s from the patch notes a few weeks before release. Vet hasn’t updated it because of how tedious it would be to rewrite literally all of that.
