At What PK Count Does Someone ACTUALLY Become a PvP Player?

Let’s be honest and clarify this HUGE problem:

  • 200-1k PK players calling themselves PvPers

  • 1k-3k PK players thinking they are good at fighting

  • 3k-5k PK players thinking they are veterans in combat

  • 5k-10k PK players thinking they have seen everything

  • 10k+ Nothing to say here, they are the GOAT

But that’s only what I think, let me know what YOU think:

  • Under 1k kills
  • 1k-3k kills
  • 3k-5k kills
  • 5k-7.5k kills
  • 7.5k-10k kills
  • 10k+ kills
  • PK doesn’t matter, skill issue

Personal take:

If you are flexing with your less than 5k kills, you are not a PvPer but a loot pinata that we farm for bounty and clips.

classifying someone as a pvper based on the amount of pks they have is nerd behavior. a pvper is someone who engages with pvp.

You 10k fake kiddie demons would be COOKED if you faced me and my sister in our prime.

Eh, Im not the best pvper ever but im decent.

That being said, using pk as measurement is pretty bum. I mean I know some guy who beat the shit out of people but he rarely fight.

That being said, PK do show how regular you pvp.

i think the amount of time you put into pvp is more relevant to whether or not someone is a pvper

so if someone spends a significant amount of time pvping, they’re a pvper

pk count is just a way to measure how good at pvp someone is

AO will never be DBD; even a few player kills in AO makes somebody a PvPer, whereas in DBD, you’re still considered a freshie if you have over 1K hours in the game.

pk count measures experience, which typically indicates skill but not always

pk to hour ratio

until we get that elo system that they mentioned in the trello, we don’t have any definitive metric

even then, it wouldn’t measure world pvp skill

What makes you a pvp player is time commitment to the pvp portion of the game

I’d say the statistic that shows you are a great pvp player is the player kill to death ratio in the statistics tab of the menu.

High player kill count (I dont know whats considered high nowadays) + A player kill to death ratio close to 1:1 means not only did you get alot of wins under your belt but you accumulated tons of losses against players better than you. Unfortunately its not a readily available statistic on the player board.

Idk how true this logic stands btw but ive seen players with high pks not do well for various reasons

Bro is farming the Cheeto dust off his t-shirt

PK’s only show how regularly your fight or get ganked.

Experience is what defines who and who isn’t a PvP player.

wait wrong reply now this won’t make sense

Someone with over 3 PKs an hour.

Basing it off pks is kinda tricky to determine because someone could have 10k player kills and use meta aoe builds whilst someone might have like less than 1k kills and use a very high skill build

i ony have like 133 pk and ive beat people with nearly 1000 pk, pk isnt rlly a good measurement

First post best post. If you’re actively engaging with PvP, you’re a PvP player. Kill count doesn’t mean anything other than you’ve killed a lot of players. If you’re at 20 player kills and you’re looking to PvP, you’re a PvP player. If you’re at 20,000 player kills and have turned PvP off to pursue a life of fishing, mining, and stamp collecting, you’re no longer a PvP player. If you’re at 0 player kills and deliberately keep PvP on so the opportunity for a fight is there, you’re a PvP player. If you’re at 0 player kills and deliberately keep PvP on but avoid PvP combat because you’re just wanting to get above 250k fame, you’re not a PvP player.

This feels way more trying to define a PvP sweat as opposed to a PvP player.
