So, yeah. Most Atlantean weapons are straight up dumb and impractical, for example Atlantean Rapier. Like fr this is just a rotten dead fish how would it even thrust?? Break in one hit?

its a swordfish.. thats probably mutated as well which prob made it more durable, you could have said something like the atlantean cutlass which is like a fucking crab/lobster claw yet somehow counts as a sword

What’s the main goal of a greatsword?
A normal longsword would already do a good job at cutting, because well, it does not need that much weight - it’s elegant, all you need is skill (well not only that).
A greatsword is much heavier - just adding skill to it won’t do better than a longsword. And if it’s goal to bash - well, maces exist.
